My GT4 LAN Party room...

I wanted to share with you my experience about GT4 Lan Party. So here we go...

You already know about my homemade cockpit (see my sig):
I decided to fabricate 5 more of them and started to organize nice meetings few months ago... People offered me TVs and car seats. They just have to bring their own PS2s, steering and pedal set and that's it!

I took 2 pictures of the small room that I rent. We have once or twice a week 2 differents championships where we play (up to 6 players) together nice races on the GT4 game.

Only problem: when we're playing 5 or 6 players, it seems that the system (or the Hub/switch) cant handle it properly: the TV screens are "shaking" all the time (like on the straigh of infineon). But it is bearable for a while, at least.
I have no idea if it is normal (I'm thinking maybe the hub/switch is not enough "powerful", or is it the PS2 image generating systems)... if you have some experience in 6 players lan party, gimme some feedback!

This is the absolute adrenaline machine when you can find other gamers that are all at the same level, especially in "monotype" cars races, like Beetle RSI cup or Renault Clio trophy cup.

And I must agree with the Clios. We did an endurance race with driver switches in the Clio Cup cars at Deep Forest. Best LAN race yet.

I already have a 8 ports hub (or switch?, and around £15). Which one did you buy?

Switch > hub.

The one I bought was just some generic unbranded jobby with an eBuyer label stuck onto it, similar to this Safecom one. Did the trick though.

My next house will have a LAN room (or possibly in the garage). UKGTP7 or 8 will be at my house...

dude, i wish i had as many people that liked GT4 around here so i could have my own GT4 lan party, that's awesome two thumbs up!
