I have the black model of that case and you will quickly fall in love with it. Just make sure to plan out how you want to wire it.

I've had the case for about 3 weeks and I'm never buying a different case. Ever.

I would first off go with an AMD processor if i were you

I'm not sure if ECS would be a good choice, their motherboards have been cheap, yes, but pretty crappy. Try looking at the offerings from MSI and Gigabyte. I built my computer seven months ago and I run an Asus board and I'm happy with it, but on the other hand, I've heard of plenty of complaints and problems. I know I'm going to be bashed for doing this, but I would recommand looking at some of the Asus products also.

The geforce 7600 gt is a very good choice. It's done well in tests and reviews, and I recommanded it to a friend a couple of months ago, and he was very happy with its performance for price.

You mentioned that you are not going to run SLI. If you aren't, then you really don't need a 550w PSU, and can just stick with the 420w one. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that you're going to get a 420w PSU then later upgrade to a 550w PSU?).

I assume that you're using your other 80gb harddrive for documents/music/videos and stuff? if you are, you might want to get a bigger harddrive just because you can have so much more stuff on there.

If you want to save money, the case would be an excellent place to do so. Plus I heard that the P180 is a pain in the ass to work with. I myself opted for a P160 instead.

Good luck building!

Crash852 - I'm not going to AMD CPU, 1) It's expensive for dual core, 2) I had an AMD and I hated it (I had a 256MB ATi Radeon gpu for it too but I sold that stuff, I had 512mb RAM also and it was a 3200+) 3) The AMD just doesn't seem worth it to me now either, I've tried 2.8GHz Intel Dual core and 3800+ X2 Dual Core from AMD and didn't see a difference.

I've been reading what other people and companies have to say about the other mobo's, and I might go with this, it's cheaper, some what reliable, and it'll last me a little.

I MIGHT, big might, run SLi, but that's maybe if I get to build my own computer myself with Intel Conroe. I'm getting a 550w because it's gonna be worth it in the future if it doesn't break down and I could use it on another computer in the future.

I'm gonna use 80GB for data for like music, videos, games, etc. And I'm going to use a 120GB for back up just incase. I'll also put other stuff onto the 120GB hard drive in the future.

I'm not building this computer  www.iBuyPower.com, I'm ordering from there, I'm just putting new stuff in when I get the chance.

Thanks dude.

Oh psh, you should build your own, it's much more fun that way anyways. 👍

Just becareful with the motherboard, buy something that would last a few years cause it's expensive and a pain in the ass if it dies.

Something you should know about that case.....from my experience, the extra 12v 4 pin lead that's sometimes called the P4 power plug is often too short with the PSU at the bottom of the case. Most inputs for that plug are at the top of the MOBO which makes sense IF your PSU is also at the top of the case. I had to cut and extend the length of that cable for proper wire routing. Other than that, the case is awesome!!!

What did you do to cut and extend it by?

Integra Type R
Don't get an Acer monitor. Everything looks cool besides that. 👍
What is wrong with the Acer monitor? I have a 19" Acer AL1914 AB Black 8ms LCD and so far its one of the best monitors I have seen. Just wondering?
If your into gaming make sure to get as many buttons on your mouse that you can. The more you have the easier it is to switch to other items in the game without haveing to pluck around on the keyboard.
PS Your camera matches the case perfectly!

FA - Just because Asus is a good mobo around, doesn't mean it's always the best for your apps or even use for the computer. So I am still deciding on the Asus mobo but I got a budget also, so I don't want to over do it. The ECS mobo is looking so dang goood right now to!!

LOL Thanks dude, I just noticed that it does :D

If you set a mirror up just right you could take a pic of your camera on your case. :sly:
You take great pics so I am sure you can come up with something creative.

Wait until around July 21st, when the new Intel chips come out. Regardless of whether you want to buy one or not, it will heavily bring down the price of current Intel and (according to press releases I think) AMD chips.

Well... I do plan on getting the new Intel Conroe Processor, the Intel Conroe E6600 2.40GHz 4MB L2 1066MHz FSB 65W for $316... It'll easily OC to 4.0ghz which is my goal. And I plan on getting the same heatsink fan because these processors will be known for better cooling than the other Intel processors in the past.

I would say go with the Duo Core 2, because the one you are talking about beats the AMD AM2 FX-62.

Dual Core processors run hot as they are... Even if you do cool them down, still. The new Conroe processor is the best. It's like a $300 chip that beats a $1100 AMD processor. It sets the benchmark right now so there is nothing like it on the market, not even close. '07 / '08, AMD will be coming out with quad cores... Which I might consider getting in '09 if no one drops anything new...

Damn matt, i said it to you before, just wait for vista to come out. It will be the best thing you can do, trust me. Anyone agree with me?

NO! NO VISTA. Windows is unstable already as it is and it's going to be hard with updates that it comes with and updates that will be mandatory to keep the OS running. Windows XP Home FTW!

Oh, btw, new specs haha :

That's it so far. Rethinking about a monitor now but still searching.

Well, they are slightly faster. Also, the cable is thinner, so you don't have to deal with those wide ribbon cables.

Meh, I don't care about fast hdd's really... As long as the OS and programs run on the main one and the data hdd is fine, I'm okay.

The Core 2 Duo Intel CPU's break the rule book in the speed tests. Also they run less hotter then the AMD 64 X2 CPU's, and use less watts.
