My new toy. (quad, ATV, ORV) Bought another one 3/14/07

whoa...I still want to get that 'raptor' **edit**now that I think about it, I don't think that was the name...***thing ...there was a thread for it just before christmas.....it was a treaded dream ! Anyone else heard anymore from that thing ?

I had a chance to take the quad out and have some real fun! I took it off road out in the country and I just cant believe how fun this thing is. Spent about 2 hours in the mud, dirt, snow, water and jumping some hills. I was very sore the next day but it sure was worth it.
I bought and installed the plow over the weekend too. 4 boxes of parts and 2 hours of labor later..... Works excellent even without the chains on the rear. You might be able to see in some of the pics some of the areas I plowed. The nicest thing about the plow is the fact that it completely disconnects in less that 15 seconds just by pulling 2 pins! I pointed one of the pins out in the pics below with a yellow arrow. 👍

hey man, that actually looks pretty sweet...I think you can expect some now in the next couple of days, and take'er for a test drive !

Thank you TwinTurboJay.
They said we are supposed to get snow wednesday or thursday so I will be ready. This quad pushed the wet heavy stuff with no problem. I even pushed a couple snow banks that were over a foot or 2 high and that stuff is really really wet and heavy. I know for a fact the lightweight powder snow will be extremely easy to push around. If you were interrested in buying a quad and installing a plow then I would highly recommend it. Plus you get a vehicle that you can play with all year long, even in the snow. 👍
I started polishing the aluminum engine and rear end with Mothers aluminum polish but I will get before/ after pics of that when I am finished. As you can see in the pics it looked quite dull before polished. It also works as a protectant and water repellant.

CAMAROBOY69
I have always wanted a quad and finally bought a brand new 2004 25EX right from the showroom floor. This one is mainly for my girfriend. Next year I will get a 400. :)
I also bought chains for the tires and a plow to attach to the front for snow.

Put some 24s on it ;) Nice though, very nice looking ATV, I bet it flies.

Beat me to it Zero, hehe.I was just about to say that. :D

Nice quad Camaroboy. 👍
The colour is a bit  ,hehe just messin with ya.But seriously.Dark Blue or Black would have been better,in my view. :P

Thanks for the compliments. I personally don't really like the Mustard yellow color either. They only make them in yellow , red, and white. I really wanted the yellow Suzuki 250 because it is a really bright yellow, but they didnt have any in so I just settled with the Honda 250 instead.

Now that spring is here, my girlfriend and I have been riding a lot.
Saturday we rode for 6 hours on the power lines, Sunday we rode in the morning with friends for 2 hours out in the woods on trails, then later that night we went with more friends out to a lake to play in the mud. Since all the snow just melted there was more water than there was mud. My friend got his 4x4 quad stuck up over the tires in mud and water. I got stuck too and it sure was fun. :dopey:
I am currently polishing all the dull looking aluminum and it looks a lot better than new but here are some dirty pics. I will get polished pics later.

STOP CLEANING IT! No ATV, dirtbike or truck should ever be cleaned. :sly:

I have to admit it did feel wrong making it look sooo pretty.
If it makes you feel better I havent washed my truck in 2 years. Hardly even looks white any more.

Here is the rear end and the stainless part of the muffler. Im currently working on polishing the engine.

I just bought another quad and gave Heather my yellow one. We have have been having soo much fun!!
My new quad is a 2006 TRX250EX. It has some new shifter called a sportclutch. You can shift with or without using the clutch. We will be going to silver lake a lot this year. We bought and built a trailer but it still needs a deck so the dealer let us borrow this aluminum one for a couple days. Well here are a couple pics from yesterday. The 3rd quad is a friends from work.

My friend has one and he's ridiculous on it. I'll try and get some off of his myspace to show you some stuff.

I used to own a white / black / red, Yamaha Blaster, 2004 year model. And then it was getting too small and my knees kept hitting the fenders, so I sold it. I want a new quad though. Don't know which one though.

Ooh, shiney. Looks like a gas. I've never ridden a 2WD race-type quad before, though I'd love to eventually. It's on my 'master list'. You know, with about a million other things.

Speaking of shiney, how's the 'Maro doing? Any progress since the exhaust modifications?

Explain to me exactly what 'chains for the tires' are for?

Im in Aus, as you can probably tell, and ive never experienced snow:)

Chains for the tires are to give you traction in the snow and on ice. Since tires are just rubber they slip real easy. I bought them for the quad when I plow but I have never used them. They are still sitting in a box somewhere.
We will probably polish and really clean up both quads this summer.
No progress on the Camaro since the Murcielago exhaust set up. We will be priming the Mustang once the weather warms up. Then we will get updated pics of it.

Most of the snow has melted and we found a couple mud holes. It was about 35degrees but we stil had a great time today. :)

I bet that Scrambler is real fast. Especially a beefed up 2 stroke 400. I like the color of it too. I am a sucker for orange. 👍

Here are some random pics from Michigan Silver Lake sand dunes. These hills are so high that they are above the trees!! When you are at the very top it makes you nervous. Sorry the pics arent better but it was pretty windy and my camera is over 7-8 years old. Someone was even out there with a demolition derby car. We were laughing soo hard!! This is actually where we will be spending most of the summer. Its over 55 miles from our house and we usually stay all day. The pic with my back facing the camera is me wearing a portable mini backpack that carries water. I can drink out of it using a plastic tube that comes around the front. We were laughing because I had a big hunch in my back. lol Heathers Saturn actually got over 30mpg hauling 2 quads and a trailer.
