That's one eye searing interior... i wouldn't complain if I had the opportunity to buy it though. Awesome car, very clean looking... I love that near showroom new engine... btw, it's Gt-racing here from ign. 👍

Hey man!

So the guys at Hinson had some incredibly good/bad luck at the Texas Mile this weekend. The guy responsible for most of the parts for my car's swap was driving when their 1400+whp C6 Z06 had a rear wheel/tire failure and went airborne and flipped at 230+ mph. Luckily, the car landed back on the wheels and Lane was able to bring it to a stop without any further rolling. He walked away from it. Videos at the link:

Glad to see that he was okay and walked away. Awesome progress on the S2000 LS2 V8, and awesome RX-7!!! :D --- Randy

Holy cow, glad he's alright. I'm quite surprised to see a car expected to go that fast without a more extensive rollcage. That rollbar did what it was supposed to, but I think they definitely need to have dash and windshield bars in the future.

Oh damn, I didn't realize that vette had connections to hinson motorsport, that crash is pretty crazy, I still remember the Gallardo TT crash from the last event (Was it last year already? Time is flying by...).

Car was on the dyno for the first time yesterday. Made 662 lb-ft at 3800 rpm at only 7 psi, which is even better than I expected at low boost. Lots of reliable power. 👍

at "only" 9? how much will it support?

Anyway, those are already stupid numbers. 700+ punds!! A Honda with torque. The world ends.

Ah, no, wait, it has a V8.

The engine build could support as much boost as the T76 could make--probably quadruple-digit power numbers at that point--but the rest of the drivetrain isn't built for that. I wanted good power at relatively low boost for engine reliability's sake. Worked out well!

Eric: Not much more. And honestly, I'll probably never run more than 10 psi at the track. It all depends on how much grip I can derive from the initial setup I have in mind, and how much I can improve that over time.

Still undecided on tire sizes... thinking 275s up front, 305s rear. JRZ double-adjustable coilovers with spring rates to be determined once we get the car on some corner scales, Kognition wing, and a whole lot of tinkering with all the variables therein. Still not sure about the static camber angles... I'll have to have the car in my garage to see how much room I'll have to work with once the rear wheel wells have been sliced up and the new flares, wheels, and tires are on. Still contemplating options for a front splitter, canards, rear diffuser, etc. Might go the homemade route for a couple of those.

That looks amazing, I think the LSx series is my favorite engine.

If it was feasible, I'd do a LS swap to replace my modular 3v.

also, honda makes it chevy shakes it ftw.

those are almost lambo numbers lol...

personally it will be a much more attractive package if you have more sane power figures (around 380 hp) and narrower tires, like 245 front and 265 rear at most.

Don't listen to this man.
