What if the Nürburgring is like a little world like you can see in this movie:

http://www.nuerburgring.de/nuerburgring-2009.531.0.html

And your able too drive around the circuit(and on off course!!): go to the hotel, cardealers, tuningshops, do some offroad on the test-track, change livery off your car,....

And if it's not, i hope that the track will look like this with all the new buildings around...

Greetings,

Mc959

Just out of curiosity, wh do you end your posts with "Greetings"? I know "Aloha" means both "hello" an "good-bye" in Hawai'i, but the same rule doesn't apply in jsut about any other major language in the world. The French don't say "Bonjour" when departing, just as the Russians don't say "Do svidania" as a greeting ...

@ Captain Hammer

i'm just trying too be polite, it's like kind regards or sincerely
just meaning:"Hello too everybody, and race you soon", all this with one
word, cool he:):):)

See you(on the race track!)

I really hope they don't go through with those plans. That'd be horrible. The Nurburgring isn't supposed to be some big fancy money-maker track, it's a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. It always has been, and I just think it's appropriate that the toughest and longest race track in the world just happens to be one that your average person has never even heard of.

I think the secret of the Nurburgring got out a few years ago, when every other sim put it in to their game.

Also the fact that there's Formula 1 racing on the new circuit might mean that the international spotlight has bee shined on the Green Hell. Yes, there are top tier facilities, a fancy hotel, and all sorts of Tourist attractions. That's what keeps the track in business. They won't pay the bills with course fees alone.

Also, there's a not so little known music festival called Rock am Ring

Sorry dude. Secret's out.

'Secret' maybe out but I still agree with Keef (for once :P), turning it into a big money making track will never be good, they greatest track in the world will be ruined.

Thats what the crappy Nurburgring GP track is for.

Golf? Beach Volleyball? Rockbands? Shopping? Why?

Leave the Holy Grail of Motorsport alone!!

From the looks of it, this planned-tourism seems to be directed and to be built directly around that section of it.
