Just won it by 5 seconds.

1st lap was 6:45 2nd lap was 6:44

I maxed down force set ride height to -20 -20 and set the top speed to 204mph. ABS 1 Traction control 1

I had a huge spin and still won. With the two setups listed, the car becomes driveable and I went 6:39 on the first lap, 6:31 on the second and won by 23 seconds

If you used skid control or Active Steering, you could knock 15 seconds off each lap.

Anyone else think this was easy? I did it first time with the Toyota Camry (Red Bull one) with full down force and gearing set 2 points below default. Had a blast doing it though! Really enjoyable.

You are the man! Congrats (especially the part where you beat it on your first try)! I had a hard time doing this one. I kept spinning out and going into the grass (I'm not very good at the 'ring) But persistence paid off!

Don't listen to all the haters there, some of the races are easier for some and hard as hell for others (this was easy for you, hard as hell for me).

First I did the RX7 event which was PURE PAIN !!
I tried all sorts of settings but I could not get any lower then 1.00.6 with no aids on. Wacked on recovery and 59 mids consistent without to much sweat...kinda ruined the challenge but glad I got it over with. Did 5 tries total.

AS FOR THE NASCAR on the RING.
Lol what a blast ! Great combo I would have never came up with.
For those guys struggling here....track knowledge is key. I did well over 2000 laps here mostly in GTR evo and rFactor as I love the track to bits.
Even did about 40 laps in my own car being a modified Honda EP3 ( cant wait for summer lol ) .
Once you know the track you will pass all nordschleife tests with ease with some driving skills but it will take time to be able to master most corners easily with any car and even more time to really be fast after that. ( real thing is another ballgame all together ! )
I used a Fanatec GT3 RS V2 with CSP and no aids and came out first with lots of time to spare with all the above in mind.

Just finished 1st on my first try. Definitely one of the more 'fun' races I've done in a while. Used the #24 IMPALA Jeff Gordon (not that it makes any difference)
6:30.100 on my first lap and 6:31.298 on my second lap

No oil change, 824HP

Settings:
TCS 1
Skid Recovery Off
Active Steering Off
ASM Off
ABS 1

Chassis Reinforcement
Full Downforce
Transmission at 230 (mph)

LSD:
Init Torc: 30
Accel: 60
Braking: 5

Suspension: Stock
Brake Balance: Stock

I imagine this car to be much faster with Skid Recovery turned on with less downforce, though I'm not going to bother trying it since it won't gain me any more XP or Cr. But I did beat the AI by at least 28 seconds.

Note: Used Blitz24's settings but tweaked very slightly for my driving style.

whats the most cheapest and cost effective way of obtaining a car suitable for this event?

I bought a Ford Nascar (I did oil change on my other cars so I couldn't enter with those) and won the event by 10 sec at the first run :dopey:
it was really fun race 👍 KEEP IT UP PD!!!

Yeah too easy. I lapped everyone and run a full nurburgring lap in 3:46. The original poster is far more n00b than me.

Seriously though. I'm lucky to come in 12th in that race

wat do u consider max downforce rear and front both at the top or wat ?

just cracked it max downfocre is 50 on the front 70 on the rear i was only modifiying the rear downforce didnt know front helped that much won by like 8 seconds wid these setups otherwise best i could do was 4th

After like 5 restarts, I got 4th with assists. Lost to first by 3 seconds. :( It hard getting the nascar to follow the road. I think I need the AMG Driving Academy.

I just won, by a very very very large margin.

I turned a first lap of 6:30.671 which was good enough to be 9 seconds back and 4th place.
My 2nd lap was alot slower, 6:40.709 a full 10 seconds slower. One would think that it could be the nail in the coffin, but I won by a whopping 23.688 SECONDS. The AI is not very aggressive at the 'Ring, as I took the lead just slightly after trap 2 on the 2nd lap.

My settings:

TC 1
Skid Recovery On
Active Steering Mild
ABS 1

Top Speed was 236 MPH but it could probably be lowered because the car doesn't get past 215-220 on the straight.

Full Downforce

I messed around with the LSD a bit for fun and I found this to be ideal

Initial Torque 0/30
Acceleration 0/60
Braking 0/5.

The car requires at least one wheel on the pavement at almost all times (yet the shortcut right before trap 3 can be taken, you need to baby both the throttle and brakes in the grass to avoid spinning the rear of the car around as it will snap).

I believe its possible (99% sure) that the entire track can be taken in gears 2-4 and you don't have to shift to first gear period. I can recall only 2 or 3 times where the car dipped into first gear and my suggestion is to stay out of first gear as much as possible because the car seems to be a bit slow accelerating into 2nd gear.

Thanks for the setup. After another 4 or so attempt with the setup, I have finally won by 1.5 seconds. Guess I need more practice run at the ring.

nope..still havn't beaten it.....best i can do is 11th place....gonna trywith my steering wheel tomorrow...

Easy, got this in my 2nd try. Just get a lap time of at least 6:50 or less.

The nascar handles much better than most cars on that track >_>

Put Skid Recovery on and then lowered the gear ratio to 340km and that was it. I ran a 6:45 then a 6:50 and won by 10 seconds. I found it to be fairly easy (Mainly because of Skid Recovery :))

I hate using Skid Recovery, never use anything but ABS 1 normally, but I just want the exp and money from the seasonal events so I have been.

I've managed silver or gold in pretty much everything, and giving it my all with assists on, I only barely managed 9th in this one...

With controller I'm pulling 7min lap time but with a steering wheel i might be able to knock off a few secs but so far....have no clue what i'm doing wrong and thats whats ticking me of, i have faired far better in the other events so far.

Weird, the AI seems to be better on my side. I ran around 6:45 on both laps, and barely won with a 1.5 seconds lead. Only managed to catch up with the first AI after the long straight in the second lap.

...finally beat it for 8th place.....almost 7th but gunned a corner too fast...
my lap times were like 6:55-58ish so maybe I have the bad luck of harder AI:crazy:

If I would use Skid Recovery Force and Steering Assist like you did then maybe I would consider it easy. But to use the two biggest assists, and then run out and say it was easy, that just doesn't seem right to me....

I'm not trying to come down on you for using assists, but if its so easy, then why not try it without so much help, then start a thread on how easy it was. Like they say on ESPN, "Come on man!":ouch:

Nah, you're just slow.
Get your lap times down to 6:30ish region.

Using DS3
TCS 7
Skid Recovery On
Skid Recovery Mild
ABS 1

Downforce 50 / 70
Ride Height -5 / -5
Max Speed 217mph

First Lap 6.41.xx
Second Lap 6.46.xx

Won the race by about 6 seconds. Even with the aids on I found it challenging, as its quite easy to go off the track.

+1. Great setup. Worked very well.

Ugh, I'm gonna try some of these settings tomorrow. I can barely catch 11th. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I usually gold all races and at least silver on all license tests. This event seems way out of my league.

That's a great setup for a pad user. We just used that and after struggling to get in the top 6 at first, this setup let's you blast around with confidence. Most people around here assume we all use wheels... Anyway, we soon best the field by over 10 seconds after putting a couple of 6m 40'ish second laps.

Guys, I agree that seasonal event difficulty is inconsistent.
This one was one of the easiest (all assists off), but huge fun. The little FIAT gave me much harder time :). I'm sure all of you can handle it with some advice and persistance.

If you are interested:

1. ABS 1, all other off
2. Max downforce
3. Very soft setup (spring rates in the region of 9-11).
4. Relatively high ride hight
(The Ring is very bumpy. Soft settings will provide more traction most of the time. Also, much more forgiving for mistakes and kerb friendly. Less bouncing and risk of losing it.)
5. Transmission I think was 350 km/h (220 mph).
6. You should know the track really well (thank you AMG Academy).
7. Don't overpush the car.
8. Stop early enough, this is a heavy beast.
9. Lean on the downforce - a Nascar generates a lot.
10. Overtaking lines are critical. The track is narrow, speeds high.

Good luck.

P.S. With Skid on should be walk in the park, as it gives you bonus traction for the skidding wheels. It encourages bad habits. Don't use it, unless you really can't do it otherwise.
