Ok so yes it's me again wirh yet another thrilling query into the wretched mechanisms amd machinations of Gran Turismo Sports wondrous rules regulations and all things 1984....

Tonight's question is for those still reading is as follows....

Just finished (on Saturday) round one or race one of the nations cup

A paltry 8 points was achieved but my question remains.....how come after just one round or race....there are some with an abundance of points already??

Like in the hundreds???

If anyone has made it this far and still can be bothered then I'd welcome any and or all replies.....

Always wondered that myself

The higher the lobby the higher amount of points awarded. As the lobbies go up in DR you will not only gain more DR but also the more FIA points awarded. I personally run in low D lobbies so I typically see 6-10 for finishing 1st and 1 for last place, I did get awarded 32 points once in a B lobby.

Points awarded are a result of the average DR rating on the entire field of a particular race. Here is a chart that shows the points awarded per finishing position, by the average DR of the room. For example, top split on Saturday was worth just over 300 points for the win, dropping around 10 points per position down the grid, meaning the average DR of the room was around 65k. :)

I also think there is a touch of penalty for having a lower SR as well as when I have been in a lower SR room after a disaster or two the points are always way lower even if the field was nearly the same strength. But that's just guessing. No real proof on that one.
