Hi, NFS Heat newbie here...

Is there any tricks to getting rid of cops? It seems impossible to get rid of them without the traps that Most Wanted had.

Discover where all the big ramps are (including those used for billboards) and use them to lose the cops. They are basically the equivalent of pursuit breakers in this game.

To add onto the advice, jumps over water are guaranteed to wreck cops. There’s one in the docks at Port Murphy in the south-west of the map, and another one in the downtown area in the north-east.

It would be strange to add another one but the Black Market system they have is giving out free variant of existing car, I think the LP750 SV is likely. There is a chance that 370z 50th Anniversary Edition on the official car list is not a mistake but a planned variant of the 370z Nismo and 370z Heritage Edition we have in game.

The game seriously have way too many variant and I hope they reduce it squeeze the variants into 1 car as parts for the next game.

is it absolutely certain that we will get only Variants of existing cars? I think we could get some new cars.

To be honest i like this approach with lots of variants of a car. Some of them have different performance etc. Shoveling them to one car and bodykits wouldn't be too great.

On the other hand. We have McLaren F1 with all 3 Mclarens F1 as body kits in one car.

Playing online breaks the cops. They act normally offline.
I was playing offline though.

I think that is a bug that pops up every once a while, I had that happen to me once months ago.
Shame that it happens that time, because I was doing Black Market stint and thanks to the glitch, instead of getting 100k bank, x5 the rep, and 2 Volatile Parts; I instead lose 50k, x1 Rep, and no Parts.

**** man. Waste of time right there. Atleast the Black Market progress is still intact.

I doubt we will get brand new cars for free (I didn't expect we will get any cars for free to be honest). Seeing the extra variant of Aventador in files along with the K.S. kits, I'm just assuming all variants will be free while the brand new car to be a paid DLC.

I'm fine with having the convertible variants but having the standard and high spec variant as 2 cars feels like they are just padding the car list while most of them handles similarly.

That is not the first car to do that, Diablo SV has Diablo GTR as body kits, and the Corvette C6 has C6 ZR1 as parts too. I think in Payback the M4 GTS has the standard M4 parts.

Well... We can get Ford Hotrod and Beckcustom from last games. The first one is actually in the game already.

Alright, I actually recently came back to NFS Heat, mainly due to the update. With that said, I still haven't tried the Aston Martin yet and I probably not going to get the Mclaren F1 anytime soon. Not unless a sale happens with the DLC or just waiting for a season pass where I can get all the dlc cars for a better deal.

The game is still enjoyable and I found the police more manageable due to the faster cars and better parts I've been able to get. The C7 Corvette GS was a major help in racing and the Ferrari F40 now I got is fantastic. I love the fact I can make it look like a F40 LM. I just finally reached level 50 and have recently finished the story mode events plus gotten all of the billboards smashed.

I like the small change with being able not worrying about accidently entering my garage everytime I shift gears, but I still find that fix a bit lazy. I also find it a bit disappointing I can't re-map my control settings. Shifting gears with shoulder buttons just plain feels awkward to use (like in TC2).

Just finished all the BM missions for Aston. Took about 4 hours total so yeah they didn't exaggerate in their tweet in terms of how much playtime this DLC adds. Are those quality 4 hours though? Not in my book. Most of the new races are pretty boring in terms of route (and worse if they require you to be a specific heat level - I thought I've left grinding rep behind in this game). I still have no idea who the client is, what car we're getting back, or how all these activities are meant to help us find it. Lazy writing at its finest. Just slap some random dialogue on top of a couple of races and call it a day. At least they give us the Aston bodykit for free but man, they even managed to turn one of the most beautiful cars in recent years to one of the ugliest. Glad that's done, so now I can go back to testing cars.

I have only just started playing, I knew exactly what to expect when buying this. But one huge gripe for me is the fact that l cant I map the buttons on the ds4 how I want them. Shifting with L1 and R1 is a joke.

After spending some time with the wheel, I’m not even going to bother with it anymore. It’s that ****. The wheel doesn’t even self align like every other driving game on ps4.

Black Market stories is pretty much non existent for both cars but I do like the list of objectives, at least it gave me reasons to play the night events and progressing the car accordingly to the level requirement is good fun.

I did find the the new race routes from Mclaren F1 story to be more entertaining that ones in DB11.

I actually forgot that car is missing in game, wouldn't mind seeing the hot rod again.

Well yes I like that it gives you something to do, but IMO the effort:reward ratio doesn't cut it. I'd say 2 hours is the sweet spot without making it feel too much like a grind.

I didn't even bother progressing the car slowly. Just slapped all ultimate+ parts on the Aston so I can run thru the events as fast as possible

From memory the obvious cars missing are those 2 and obviously Toyotas from NFS 2015. Personally I miss being able to do superbuilds like in Payback. Like on the Aston DB5, some parts are there but you can't turn the trunk into an open bed with a spare tyre like the offroad superbuild.

I'm still hoping drag racing will be added in the future. The drag tyre is useless atm except for showing off wheelies.

Mclaren events pays better in general, Aston pays lesser from what I remember. The Aston needed an expensive engine to even push it to 400+, the stock engine is rubbish and the Lambo V12 don't seem to get most cars to 400+.

I didn't even swap the engine. With all ultimate+ parts its around 360 PR and more than fast enough to beat all the events easily.

I kinda wish we can remove the engine from cars and leave the engine bay empty (obviously you can't drive it then and have to swap another engine in if you want to use it). Would make it a lot cheaper to experiment engine swaps as they're so pricey (more than the cost of the car itself in some cases). I have 60+ cars now and most are just sitting there gathering dust

the useless V12 could only get it to 380+ PR, I have it sitting in the inventory since couldn't get most of the cars I wanted to 400+. Tried it on the M5, Polestar, M3 E92 and DB11, it only gets the Huracan and Countach to 400+ but those cars stock engine could reach it without a swap.

I find it easier just to buy each expensive engine once and keep swapping it around, save my money on ultimate+ parts too.

Well I bought the 4.0L Flat-6 for my starter 180SX, and I've been swapping that around for any car that can have it. Problem is there's not that many  I know there's a thread on reddit that lists all the engines and what car could have what. I'm just focusing on buying all cars first and testing them with stock engine. Buying each engine once will still need a huge amount of money and I'm not sure I will still be interested in the game at that point.

Never bought any ultimate+ parts either. Just been swapping everything I got from HH races.

Finally got my first Ultimate part! I'm guessing that Heat 3 races give you Ultimate and Heat 5 races are Ultimate+.

Only if you are at Rep Level 50+. Under that and you'll get Elite and Elite+ respectively.

yes I believe that they do and you can also put a v12 in a corvette now I think
Engine swaps are separate from parts. All engines are unlocked from start and you'll "only" need credits to unlock it.

So i finished the Black Market thingy in the Aston.
I bought the 6.5L V12 (astons need V12's) and only got it up to 380, wich was disapointing (Maybe the V6 was the better option?), luckily i could also put that V12 in my Diablo SV (which reaches 400+ easily), so it wasn't a total waste of money.

The V6 will get the Aston to 400+, that V12 is pretty useless in anything other than Lamborghini.
