Need for Speed: Rivals

Yes the dialog is horrid. Went back to playing this on
the PS4 the other night. Still looks and plays amazing to me. One of the best looking
Launch games IMO. My favorite car now is the 599, it's a beast!
 
Thinking about getting this. I don't have a PS4 yet because I'm waiting for either pCARS or GT7. So my question is, do you guys think it is worth getting on the PS3?

The free Koenigsegg One:1 for both factions is now available, get it quickly! It might have been a mistake because this car was only supposed to be available next week.

It's a good game, particularly if you don't have the time to sit down for hours on end since the gameplay is so open.

Of course being on a last-gen console means that the graphics can take a hit. The frame rate can just crash and the game slows down to a crawl. I've also had some textures loading above road surfaces, which is quite bizarre...
 
So i guess its save to say we wont be getting any further cars?
Ive been looking at the new lamborghini huracan, that would have been mighty nice.
Maybe in the next need for speed game.
Do you guys think there will be another NFS this year?

Anyone try the free car? I haven't yet since well this week was new episodes on tv week. Might try this weekend if there is no marathons
 
K. Agera ONE:1? It's great. At first I thought that almost the same as Agera R, but no. Driving/control is much better. The best car of NFS Rivals :)


Can somebody help me in getting trophies online? My ID is kedarpol :)
 
I'm having a problem with the Agera One:1. After downloading it and tried choosing it, it doesn't show up. Even though it's not there and I chose it, I also tried selecting an event but the game only sits in the loading screen. Now I can't enter the game at all because that same car (that can't work) is selected, only sits in the loading screen. :\
 
anyone play on pc ? do you have fps problem, i am stuck at like 30 fps now.. tried a tons of things ppl told me to do but doesnt work. anyone know something that works for real ?
 
I'm a bit confused. I want to get the Studio liviery for the Vanquish but says I need to do x3 Rank 2 speedlists. How do I reach Rank 2. When I hit 1,000,000sp?
 
Each tier has three Speedlists that you have to complete: Race, Drive and Pursuit. Complete one and you get one livery. Complete a second and you get another livery. Complete the final Speedlist for that rank and you get the third livery.

EDIT: However, you must have reached Rank 25 (and complete Grand Tour) before you are able to select a Speedlist from a Tier you have already completed.

ah thanks. Only Rank 11 I think. Been playing other games so only got round to Ruvals properly.
 
Finally managed to complete the Grand Tour event and unlocked the Agera One:1 I downloaded. Just didn't like the fact I had to reach Rank 21 to get it.
 
Been wanting to try to finish the game (well plat) but those 2 trophies, (friends) is what is going to kill me from it.
 
Got this today on Xbox One. Stunning graphics, just gutted it doesn't have a photo mode. That was a neat feature in NFS HP.
 
Just downloaded the game today and started playing it on my new PC. And I must say, I haven't been this excited to play NFS in a while.

Here's my pros and cons of the game:

+Graphics
+Free-roam
+Ability to change sides
+Patrol/chase with other AI cops in free-roam
+Decent car selection.
+More customization than recent Need For Speeds.

-No way to pause game - even offline.
-Some effects are obnoxious sometimes. The police light is way to bright and gets distracting while driving at night.
-Starting the game. Way too many cut scenes that it starts getting annoying.

That's it for now.

There are not many cut scenes at all. (Mostly the tutorial ones) but other than that you can skip through the rest without problems. (I would assume so) but then again I am on PS3.

Wait till you get into a pursuit, the oh so... screen white out of the helicopter light... if you thought you couldn't see what you were doing before? How about the frequent lightning flashes? I see where they were going with it, but it's one of those things of just too much.

Yeah, first thing it reminded me of was Battlefield. I even put the effects on low, not much of a difference.

It requires a VPN work around to buy from the Origin Swedish store. If you're from Sweden then there is no need for such method.
