This game needs to be produced, one thing that they need to get together if this was to happen is that exotic and muscle cars are to stay well away.. NFSU is about taking a 90's Tuner car and making it totally unique with a variety of modifications. Dump this stupid Autolog crap too, and adding police in every street racing game is also something I dislike..

I'd love the original soundtrack still there, and the bleep noises etc...

I'm not being a fanboy, but you guys and anyone else alike need to get this misconception out of your head.

And what about EA/SMS debate with EA dening them a couple of pathes? And what about spyware on Battlefield 3 and Origin? It's perfectly ok to you right?

Dump this stupid Autolog crap too,

Sorry but that would not be a very smart move at all. Autolog makes NFS games last a lot longer and more fun to play if you have friends who are active.

And I'm probably in the minority here when I say I don't want an Underground 3. I loved U1 & U2 when I was younger, but when I look back now, I really hated the whole ability to rice out your car to the point it's unrecognizable. Just Google Image search "Toyota Corolla Underground 2" to see what I mean. Not to mention it didn't help those two games rewarded putting as much junk on your car as possible, something I really hated looking back now. Underground was the start of NFS's rapid decline too in my opinion.

However, if they do happen to develop U3 I'll check it out no doubt, but I don't see myself buying it.

1- Obviously its a game based on the Streets
2- Should it have Police?
3- Should it have Typical Tuner Cars?
4- Should it have more Race/driving Modes?
5- Should it have a Free Roam Where you go to the race you want to attend/meet friends online etc..
6- Should it have a huge variety of Customization?

1) Yes, it should be based in a huge city with thousands or perhaps even millions of circuit layouts possible (With maybe a circuit creator)

2) I don't think it should have the police. I had a lot of fun in U1 and U2 because it was all about the racing and improving the car. In Most wanted they dumbed down the other parts and added Police which made the game less fun as you were restricted in free roam by having to escape the police when you were actually just on your way to that tuning shop. It meant you had to fast travel everywhere, which sucked some of the immersion out of the game.

3) Typical tuner cars are the heart of NFS games. I don't want there to be huge differences between the cars after upgrades. It seems as of late NFS has the trend that the exotics you get towards the end are the best in almost every way, and you struggle in the races if you don't have one.

4) Circuit, Sprint, Drag, and possibly Drift. I also liked the races in Underground 2 which were off the streets like at a makeshift circuit in an airport or something. You don't really need any other race mode. I hate speed trap events or whoever gets the fastest sectors wins, a race should not be decided before the finish line.

5) Free roam should be there, but fast travel should be an option for those who dislike the feature. Someone mentioned random races with others you meet on the street would be good (I seem to remember a sort of cat and mouse minigame in Underground 2 or Most Wanted, where you can challenge people to catch you or vice versa). Combining this with online would be good, but it should be available in it's full form offline aswell.

6) Yes, of course. I want to be able to customise anything and everything. Not a big fan of having different manufacturers for parts though, this always confused me in NFS-U2 because it didn't specify whether or not there were any performance differences between them.

Oh yeah, and the game MUST be at night. No point in Neon lights during the day :P

No police for me, Imo it ruined Most Wanted. From mid game was all about excaping police which is an utterly boring mentally retarded way to ruin a race game. I just prefer something more tuning culture related, with lot of styles from all over the world. Night and Day change, Many street events like Undeground 1 & 2, and also a bit of legal events like Pro Street. A flawless livery editor and a custom event generator are mandatory. The physics could be arcadey BUT it must be decent and enjoyable with a steering wheel as well. No wierd bs and as long is it is a new well made tuning game I really don't care about the name.

That's what the made the game fun! The fact that a celica can be riced to unrecognition and beating an R34 GTR silly with it.

Yeah but I dont want to see them keeping the old car culture anyways because now it just looks so retarded. Lol Make a game with todays car culture, ie. if you really want to beef up a Celica to keep up with a Skyline then why not? Its all about the Story and the path you take weather its a 270BHP VTec Civic stipped out, Roll-Cage, Bucket Seats.. or Save and start with a Standard Skyline R33/R34 GTR with a Top Sound System with Subs, Lowered, Deep Dish JDM Rims :3

That's true, the tuning culture has evolved a lot since the Nfs games. But I got a nasty feeling that games like midnight club and underground will be forgotten. Every kid now wants to shoot his friend in the face 57 times online now.

I Hope It never gets forgotten.. but HaHa, true, let them Sad people run around shooting people 7 hours a day. True car peeps wont forget MNC and NFSU. ;)

Bump,
I'd also like to see fully customisable Suspension like in GT5 and a range of Different Rollcages to be fitted. :)

If you feel you know anyone who would like to add to this thread, please tell them about this and maybe link it to them, thanks! ;)

I don't know how I feel about a 3rd Underground, having owned 1 and 2 I feel it might have already been played out and this game might end up just being a lighter Midnight Club LA a few years too late.

In any case I wish them all the best, the NFS' of late seem to be getting the brand back on track after the low points like Undercover. They need to choose their dev's carefully on which titles to work on.

Personally I still want an NFS 1 remake, please EA do a 'Tomb Raider Anniversary' on us!

Oh come on everyone knows that Need for Speed World is UG3. The game has a lot of costumization, performance upgrades, neons...

I always saw Need For Speed World as a Most Wanted sequel which is what its open world is based upon. Also F2P online games don't really count as retail games in my opinion.

Well Need for Speed World uses Most wanted and Carbon map at the moment(more in the future) but still the fanboys should stop thinking about UG3 because it's dead already.

*cough* Hot Pursuit *cough*

That game went eight years without a third installment, but it did happen. So Underground 3 is still possible and EA seem to be rebooting stuff lately. (Hot Pursuit, Medal of Honor, etc.)

But thats the thing, the 3rd will be like an all new game, car culture has moved on since then, It just needs re-making but obviously unique, it'd be the same concept but nothing like Midnight Club?

All this underground racing speak has made me buy Midnight Club LA Total Edition from PSN. :D

I also re-installed NFSU2 on my PC. I still think it's much better than Midnight Club. Maybe it's just me, but I find NFSU2 to have more soul, but maybe that's just me feeling nostalgic.

Underground shuld not have Cops in! IM0

But Drift and drag.

lot of Japanese, U.S and EU cars. (NO SUPERCARS!)

A big Free roam and Customization, like IN NFSU2.

AND NEED FOR SPEED! no rubberband please :d

Yeah you can (:
I played that on Ps2 the other day and realised how boring it was aha!! Disappointing :L

Also yeah It should'nt have Cops in it, although Midnight Club had Cops in it and they were'nt that annoying...

Actually none of the Underground games had cops which was a good thing. Back then it was just ricing your car but now we are in 2012 and that isn't fun anymore.

I know there was no Cops back in the old titles but maybe there could? But not so it gets annoying. Maybe just cops in 1 or 2 scenes of the story might be ok ;)
