Hello Guys!

I'm entering an online league, and the car I must use is the Lexus Denso Dunlop SC430, with 500hp and 1150kg.

If it was up to me, I would use my favorite car, the Nissan Calsonic GT-R '08, because I've never driven the Lexus and I'm finding it a handful to tune...

The next race will be at Laguna Seca. My best time with the SC430 has been 1:21.2 (medium racing tyres), while I can easily do 1:19 with the GT-R.

I've tried many things, but so far I've been unable to make the SC430 go any faster than that...My transmission and brake tunes are working great, but I need to find more grip from the suspension...
Does anyone have a good online tune for laguna seca, Trial Mountain or any of the other bumpier tracks?

Thanks! Have found a couple of good tunes there to use as a starting point... :-)

My pleasure. Looks like there's a wealth of builds to choose from. CSL and Photo Finish are one and the same. He's been knocking out the GT500 cars with gay abandon recently, probably worth trying out some of his stuff. Probably worth checking the Sail IC build too, as it looks like an amalgamation of several people's work. Praiano is legendary and most of his cars are built for online, but I find that they require too much skill and attention for me to drive. You could well be a better driver than I and perhaps his cars will suit you just fine.

Be sure to test all the builds online!! Whilst I understand the differences between on and offline are narrowing all the time, simply taking a car into Practise Mode is no guarantee that come Race Night, the car will handle as you'd like 👍

Best of luck in the League...

Thanks again! I've been doing all my testing online, following Praiano's advice. At first I thought online and offline physics were about the same, but they are still much differente.
As an example: My Calsonic GT-R, fully tuned with 714hp is capable of 1:35.0 at monza offline, but the best I can do with the same tune online is 1:38.2. However, tyre wear is much lower online than offline with this tune...go figure! LOL

Although Praiano's GT500 tunes are all great, they don't suit my driving style very much. I'm a very aggressive driver and I require a sharper front end to be really quick.

Best advice , don't use any SC430's ;) , if you see the A-Spec Super GT champion ship , the are the slowest , tune or not (sadly :()

CSLs Denso tune was quite good, though I used it back before all the physics changes I think. Would have won my WRS division that week had I remembered to check my replay. Once I got a handle on how to drive the car it was very good on GVS.

Where is Adrenaline anyway? I haven't seen him around much lately. Must have gotten tired of GT5 and bought Wii Mario Kart.

I want a star power up to use online in GT5....

Unfortunately, I was a late enty so I got stuck with the last car available...I think I'd rather drive even the Woodone GT-R (the worst of the Nissans) than the Lexus.

Did another test session earlier. Managed 1:21.5 with the SC430 in my best lap...took out the Calsonic just for fun and did 1:18.9 with soft tyres... :-(

Gave up on the lexus. Spent over 4 hours working on it and my best lap was only 1:21.1...
After 30 min with the Calsonic, I'm already at 1:18.3 so I'm going to look for a championship where I can race the car I want and not the lexus dog...lol
