Hi,I'am a very new;newbie.
I just got gt3
I haven't even opened it yet.I need to find-out.Which racing wheel to get?

Welcome to GTP you very new newbie. Have you played any of the other GT games, any other racing games at all? How do you know that you'll enjoy GT3 and therefore you want a race wheel. Try the game first and then if you really get into it you can consider which wheel to get. If you do a serach you'll find that there are several post's in the forum about which wheel is the best buy.

You have the following to choose from:

1. Logitech Driving Force which specifically caters to GT3..and should be useable w/GT4...

2. Logitech Driving Force Pro which specifically caters to GT4, but is also compatible with GT3, minus the whole 900 degree rotation!

2. Madcatz Universal Wheel...It's not the best wheel on the market, but if price is key, and cheaper is better...it's not that bad!

Hope this helps?

I would definitely get the Driving Force Pro, since it will translate better to GT4 when you eventually get that. However, the Driving Force number will work as well, but as SRD says, minus some features.

One wheel to NOT get is the Momo Force. It works great with GT3 but not at all with GT4.

Welcome to GTPlanet, by the way. Read through the FAQs that are stickied at the tops of each board. Also look through the Writeups board for suggestions on what car to use where, and the Settings board for help with adjustments.

Good luck! My advice is to start out by paracticing until you can get gold on the A license, then use the Miata you get as a prize with T2 race tires to win some of the early races.

Also, change the oil of every new car you get before you drive it. It adds 5% to your horsepower!

Ah, well you may as well throw anything you think you may know about racing in games out the window then. Need for Speed, Juiced, etc, are all arcade racers, while Gran Turismo is more of a realistic racing game. I'd also suggest along with others to finish either the A, or both the A and B licsenses before you try and take off in the game. Good luck.

Enjoy trying to gold b8........

I've been trying 4 2 weeks now. :yuck:

I did ALL the licenses (minus the Super) before I started. Don't worry about getting gold, just get the licenses. I recommend the B, A, and R first. Start with the PT Cruiser, and when you win the Green Miata, use the Green Miata as much as possible until you get to the Turbo Cup. Win about $35000 and go buy an Impreza STi VI. Tune that a little, and then you should be on the road to getting your favorite car(s)...

Welcome to the GTP. Like others have stated, get the DFP. Then open up the game and get the licenses. That way you will have them out of the way. Then take off from there.
