Okay, thanks to all of you.Oh,and I've played Need for speed underground & Juiced. So,I already know that I want to really make a commitment to GT2,GT3,& GT4.DukeI would definitely get the Driving Force Pro, since it will translate better to GT4 when you eventually get that. However, the Driving Force number will work as well, but as SRD says, minus some features.
One wheel to NOT get is the Momo Force. It works great with GT3 but not at all with GT4.
Welcome to GTPlanet, by the way. Read through the FAQs that are stickied at the tops of each board. Also look through the Writeups board for suggestions on what car to use where, and the Settings board for help with adjustments.
Good luck! My advice is to start out by paracticing until you can get gold on the A license, then use the Miata you get as a prize with T2 race tires to win some of the early races.
Also, change the oil of every new car you get before you drive it. It adds 5% to your horsepower!

sicbeingAh, well you may as well throw anything you think you may know about racing in games out the window then. Need for Speed, Juiced, etc, are all arcade racers, while Gran Turismo is more of a realistic racing game. I'd also suggest along with others to finish either the A, or both the A and B licsenses before you try and take off in the game. Good luck.
