I plan on building a Logitech G25 Cockpit soon but I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with a good design, I wanna keep the materials cheap and add certain specs:
1) Working Handbrake mod (pref rally handbrake) with G25 shifter (if you have 1 you could sell please tell me!!!) encased in wood to protect exposed wires.
2.) change wheel to Momo Mod 07 wheel using G25 adapter (almost finished with that!:))
3.) Change shifter knob to Dojo shifter knob
4.) Reverse mounted pedals
5.) Sparco or RECARO racing seat with harness
and some more things.

Heres a design I'm looking at making minus the Dashboard, additional switches, etc.

Just reverse mounted pedals and works great!

I don't see why people are reversing the pedals. It's better the original way. At least for me.

What brake? Every car in the word has upside down pedals, so if you are looking for realistic feel then you will reverse mount the pedeals.

Well it depends on how you set them up I did it for easier left foot brakeing, but since I dont have a sturdy mount, I put them back in their original setup and used my wah pedal as a way to angle them. So in a way you are right, but it DOES depend on your preference.

Made a adapter design for the G25 wheel to add a working racing wheel heres my draft (the outer size is .16 so you can tap and drill to get your correct size), this one is made to fit 70mm wheels heres a photo of the one I'm gonna use.

OK guys I'm not so good at these sort of things but how can i reverse the pedals and replace the shiifter nob and the steering wheel (a video will be nice)
I'm getting a G25 next week and I want to know how to get the best out of it (thanks for the help)

Hi, like what your doing so far but what about the seat?

This is likely to cost you quite a bit if in particular you go for a Recaro
as they seem to offer less for your maney over some other brands. Personally I found "Cobra" to offer the best comfort/style seat for the money.

Also adding a harness is a bit OTT if its not a motion sim, dont you think?
Again likely to cost quite a bit and dont forget you may need seat runners and/or seat brackets.

Recaro Profi Seat is about £500+ in the UK so id expect $900 + for the standard version without all the extras.

It pays to price around...

Heres a Link to Cobra Brocure from a UK dealer.
For me I loved the Sebring and opted for one of those in Black.

Dont rule out the importance or benifit a good seat will give you in comfort and last for years.
Maybe your after 2nd hand, if so consider online auctions?

Thank you this will help a lot! At the moment I'm focusing on a better reverse mount and switching the steering wheel. So if it's ok, could you find me a US dealer (pref close to Alabama) :)

👍:tup:No problem, if you need any other help just let me know.

Well when removing the wheel I accidentally broke a wire :( but thankfully it's connected to the wheel and controls one of the buttons so I don't need it :)

Well I'm unfortunely have to now stay cheap (2 rallies this summer) so I've made a cockpit using a desk, office chair, and dinner chair, and when setup correctly feels close to a real car. I have pics of that, which I'll post once I find the phone tools program for my Motorola V235.

I 'd love to see pictures of that .I am out of budget as well (G25 to thank for that)so cheap ideas with home tables and desks is basicly what I'm looking at right now then save up for a racing seat and stuff like that in the summer.
I am off to a 6 day (well needed :sly:)holiday then when I get back I'll see what you did 👍
Thanks again for the Help Metallifan 👍

Racing seats with head support and bolsters? Why?

Agreed they are not specifically needed however its all part of creating an experience and partly more professional appearance.

Proper race seats give you a snug fit, look great and have excellent comfort, attach a Buttkicker and its much better than what typical racing frames being sold will offer.

I have found on mine the head support is at the very edge of my peripheral view and is great for triple monitors. With this nothing really within the room/area is distracting your vision. It may sound silly reading this but when you sit in a good proper race seat it just feels more satisfying.

Racing seats with head support and bolsters? Why?

Because I am a amatuer rally driver and I'm building a sim cockpit so I can practice w/o risking damage to a car.

started a new thread if you also wanna post on that one: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=125463

Heres some better photos of the adapter and wheel im gonna use

Well mine is pressed up against the bed to prevent movement, but if you lower the chair as much as possible it restritcs movement

Hey if anyone wants to, show us your designs, also has anyone try to use my adapter yet?

It'd help if the links to the adapter weren't broke :dopey:

Check the 1st page :dopey:

"Que the pes'; Now, insert in your os". ? I dont get it.

It's Latin.
It says "Que the "foot"; Now, insert in your "mouth". I spoke too soon in my previous reply... The adapter looks great BTW. Where cam I find more info?
