Need help on cockpit design!!!

WOW I'm probably gonna use this when I get the money, BTW how did you extend the shifter like that? Cause I wanna do that
It's not my cockpit but if you open the shifter, you can change the shift lever.

Well I just got 5 infraction points :( but do you know how to change the shift lever?
NEW: I want everyone to tell me what you think about this: Instead of searching around trying to find a certain car handbrake how about I just take a joystick and modify that, if anyone has seen videos or photos of this before plz post them up here so I can try to do it! :D
Okay I found a vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xltr7Bkjx6YThis is what I'm gonna attempt

I'm now designing a custom brake pedal for my G25 I'll post the design when it's finished.
EDIT: Heres the photos

That extended shifter looks dangerous. What if you get too excited and use too much force shifting. That thing will have a lot of torque in it to break the joints thats just attached to a plastic mold frame. :nervous:

Well actually it wouldn't if you just used the same type of material as the original shifter and not too much larger than the original :D

NEW: To anyone using RBR: dont reverse mount your pedals, most rally car pedals are floor mounted here is proof:

Updating you all up to say that I've increased the shifter resistance using a pellet from a pellet gun

Yeah always wanted to do that si seeing as you have done it ,did you have any sort of a problem either in disassembly or reassembly and did you use chilikoke's videos?

P.S metallifan post some pictures and videos lets see the latest update:tup:

Agreed they are not specifically needed however its all part of creating an experience and partly more professional appearance.

Proper race seats give you a snug fit, look great and have excellent comfort, attach a Buttkicker and its much better than what typical racing frames being sold will offer.

I have found on mine the head support is at the very edge of my peripheral view and is great for triple monitors. With this nothing really within the room/area is distracting your vision. It may sound silly reading this but when you sit in a good proper race seat it just feels more satisfying.

Yea plus when gt5 comes out ill definitly be driving way more in the game then in a real car so why not get a nice fancy racing seat for comfort and look 👍

No there is no problem when it comes to disassembly or reassembly, and I did use chilicokes video back when I did the reverse resistance mod with the rubber o ring but I still remembered how to do this so I didn't need the video this time. And the screw in clamp (the big flat screw on bottom in between the side clamps) dosent have to be removed to take apart the shifter but the side clamps do. The diameter of what you use needs to be 3/16" and approximately 1/4" in length, but it can be shorter. I'll post a vid showing its resistance, to give you a idea flick the shifter and it should move. Mine desent do that anymore

Hey everyone what mod should I work on next?: Changing the steering wheel, adding a handbrake, or making a rally paddle shifter?

Hey Austin If you can then adding the handbrake is on the top of my to-do list so lets see some pics.Goodluck:tup:

Hello Austin how is the project going.Oh and Next week I shall begin modding my G25 don't know how and where to begin so you are officialy my guide :sly:

Well at the current moment I havent modded lately, I've been working to pay off 3 pre orders (Medal of Honor Limited Edition, Fallout New Vegas Collectors Edition, and Gran Turismo 5: Collectors Edition) but I would start with the increased shifter resistance

Working on a new project... building a rally style paddle shifter for the g25

I'm excited to see how you are going to implement your design for a one sided paddle shifter. Got any sketches or description on how you will do the up and down shifts for one paddle? With the DF GT wheel and the hand shifter next to the wheel would be some type of attachment to it might work but with the G25 and 27 I am guessing you would have to take the two paddle shifters off and replace it with some type of inovative arm.

My plan is to design a arm to where when you push the shifter back, it clicks the left shifter, and you can already guess what happens if you pull it up
