Need help: Rules/guidelines for Nations Cup?

Hey everyone, I'm so sorry I haven't played GT seriously since GT5.. I'm trying to get my head wrapped around the format and rules for the Nation's cup. I heard only your last game counts? I got 1st place on the last game and scored 90 points.. I was able to get 2nd in my state... is there a spot I can look up the rules/guidelines? Not knowing them may be the death of me.. I'm just glad I came in first because I was averaging 2nd the first few games. Thanks, any help is much appreciated!!

An9ther reason I'm asking is because when looking up others they have waaaaay more points and they are the same class as me... I just wat to know how that was achievable bc obviously I screwed up somewhere vs them with 119 points...
