Hey all,

I have 2 questions/problems with my DFGT wheel. (Links are to home videos of the problems)

The first is my computer recognizes it, when I first plug it in the wheel calibrates for a few seconds. But then the wheel can only turn literally .5 to 1 inch in either direction when out of a game that recognizes it. The other problem is that when I enter the logitech driving force GT properties menu, the wheel can turn fine but when i hit one of the calibration buttons on the wheel it turns then judders?

It works in games when the game recognises the wheel and wants to use it, but out of games it just locks up, and my friend has one who says his doesnt do that.

ps. i am running windows 8.1 64 bit on logitech win 8 64bit version. ( Which should be ok?)

Thanks again!

@SkittlezTheHD Both of those are completely normal. When not being used to control a game my G27 auto-centers the same as your DFGT does, the only two conditions for it not doing so are if either the USB and/or the power are unplugged. As for the juddering thing, it's weird and probably some sort of archaic thing left in from when it made sense, but when you press the various buttons on a Logitech racing wheel it does a sort of demo of different effects to prove that the feedback is working properly.

In short, if your wheel wasn't doing either of those things, then you'd have a problem. But you do not have a problem, so don't worry. I don't know why your friend's wheel doesn't auto-center but auto-centering is the normal mode of operation so they might have a minor software bug or something, but if it works in games it's nothing to worry about.

Okay thank you for the quick and detailed reply :D
