Need more ratings

I'm noticing a lot of tracks in the database but not very many are rated. Don't be shy, rate a track and post a review!

the problem is the point at which you have the opportunity

the rating option is on the download page

how are you going to rate something you haven't driven yet?

after downloading, and leaving to play, not many seem to be bothering to take the time
to go back to that download page, just to rate the track

also, a lot of the 5 star tracks are awful, because they were made during the first few days of the utility,
and are based on one reviewer who is probably their dumb friend, Brian.
the 'highest rated' list is largely populated with overblown ratings.

the rating system will take a long time for people to even understand what they're rating,
and also for a larger cross section of drivers to contribute to the ratings, to make it meaningful

I agree the ratings aren't working. Bad tracks need bad ratings also, I doubt that is happening.

Maybe people should step up and start running track contests.

There's hundreds of tracks in there, most people will try maybe 1% of them at the most.

True, people are going on after either rating or most well known track, if liking it then they might return to same creator resources and check is other tracks too good, if second test isn't good they're changing creator
