need to ask something

I haven't driven it at length myself, it's a cut above the Nissan R390 Race Car but it's not quite in the same league as LMP1 cars in the game.

I do know, however, that it is the fastest straight-line car in the game.
Go here to see how it was proven! Or here to see how it stacks up to everything else.

Just a suggestion, change the thread title to something more useful - 'need to ask something' is a totally uninformative title, if it were 'Toyota GT-One Opinions' or something similar you would get much more helpful input.

Welcome to GTP 👍

This should probably be in the main GT4 Forum.

ye this is probably posted up somewhere...

but anyway, yes the GT1 is pretty good.

its just a tiny bit better than all the other Race cars like the R89C and stuff.

worth buying if you're not gettin the Nissan R89C, the R92CP, or the Toyota 7

welcome to GTP 👍!

i would rather go for a Pescarolo, Audi R8, or BMW V12 LMR. if you don't like how those cars are, the GT-1 is always good 👍

The GT-one is actually not a good car against other LMP cars or Group C cars I tried to race it against a sauber and a few other Group C cars and it failed miserably, it just couldn't keep up...but I still like it because it is pretty fast.

0_0 I usually own those cars in a stock GT-1....

Welcome! Yes, the GT-One is a very, very fast car (fastest in the game, the record is 360+mph). I don't like it in the corners personally, and IMO the Audi R8 or the Pescarolo C60 Judd racer is better in the corners.

Well, after driving the GT-One in the WRS Week 66, I think it's a very good car.

First of all, it's fast around corners - high, medium, or low speeds. The huge downforce helps, but it really is a great cornerer.
Second, it owns the GT4 land speed record, as DE said. Meaning... High speeds are possible at, say, Le Mans - the place it was built for. The real-life GT-One, infact, has the La Sarthe laptime record...
And third, it's not too tough on the wheels and the fuelie-bar. Not the best by any means, but not as bad as Group C'ers.
And, last, it also looks great, both in Esso Red and in that Carbon Black. It's simply stunning.

And about the "GT-One loosing to LMPs and Group-Cs" - It all depends on the driver. A bad driver will loose in a Formula GT to a Daihatsu Midget. A good driver will beat a Formula GT in a Balasted Mercedes C9 Sauber.

I think the GT-One is a very good car as well. It reminds me of the GT-One
in GT2. I've done a few laps around La Sarthe (chicaned), and I set a lap time of 3 minutes 16.043 seconds (without driving aids), althoungh I could have been 1 second faster. The GT-One has very solid handling and is very stable through the corners. If you want to buy a GT-One however, wait around for the Black one in the second used car showroom. Then get a rigidity refresher plan, car wash, and oil change. It's relatively cheap compared with the new one.

I would recommend an Audi R8 over a GT-One. But that's just my opinion, it does eat tires faster because of it's engine. I think the R8 is much more responsive and more rewarding if you drive it right. It's akin to a scalpel in the right hands.

The R8 does seem like a better option, but better or not - you'll get the R8 anyways, for Le Sarthe 24Hrs I (Chicaned)... And as AI, it does seem to be faster, and concerning the position it has in the 300MPH club, it's also a good sprinter...
