It’s been a while since I did these races and have realised that although I cleared the menu, I came 2nd in several of them. I recall Willow and Fuji In particular being tricky in my Jag 88.

Can you let me know what level difficulty you play on? Interested to know if the 962 is an easy winner on hard level.
I did it on easy gonna try the other difficulties at some point 👍

So far I’ve only got the XJR-9 and won Fuji and Willow Springs on RHs on hard difficulty. Fuji because of rain (FM1 - lap 4 pit for fuel and IM - FM6 while wet and FM1 last lap), Willow Springs FM1 no pit stop.

But RBR I’m only managing 4th so far. And with quite a gap to 3rd too

odd. whenever i did the race the ai would pit at least twice around lap 7 to lap 9. i used the clk lm for this menu book which probably had better grip than the group c cars around rb ring

I used the Escudo for those races and just kept everything stock except for a power restrictor. It was pretty easy and I felt I should have used a different car.
Hi, I’ve been also having problems with this race. How did you get the Escudo?

Finished First at RBR in the Porsche started the Race using RH Tires and then when it started Raining switched to Intermediate Tires and No Fuel. It started Raining around lap 3-4 and this is the big one continued to rain all the way on and off until Lap 9. I used Fuel Map 1 the Entire Time and TCS 2 once I put the Intermediate Tires on to Conserve the Tread Life. The time I used is my Own but I will give you all the Settings now also I am on a PXN V12 Lite DD Wheel. However the Car feels wonderful on a Controller as well. You will however need to Purchase the Racing Transmission to adjust the Gears and Do Not Put the Upgraded Turbo on.

Accel Sensitivity: R-15
Braking Sensitivity: R-25

Downforce:

Rear-1175

ECU:

Ballast: 100kg
Ballast Positioning: -25
Power Restrictor: 84%

Transmission: Fully Customizable Racing
Top Speed: 290 km/h

1st Gear: 2.528/123
2nd Gear: 1.863/167
3rd Gear: 1.481/211
4th Gear: 1.234/253
5th Gear: 1.077/301

Final: 3.557

Also to note I was able to Not Refuel and still use Fuel Map 1 by Short Shifting the Majority of the Time except the last Few Laps when I needed to make sure P.3 Lopez in the McLaren F1 GT-R didn't get outta my site. In a Stroke of Luck I passed him on the Big Right before the Pits and he Entered the Pits. P.1 Bishop and P.2 Mendoza were already in the Pits for Fuel I assume? I was able to get out in front of them before they Exited the Pits and Essentially Barely hold off a Charging Bishop to Finish P.1.

I also Finished P.1 at Willow Springs using the Same Car albeit the SetUp was a little Different.

Now on to Fuji and Fingers Crossed I am able to Either use the Porsche Again or I dunno what I will do....😩😂🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Anyways I hope this Helps someone if you have any questions or I can be of any help please feel free to ask I will do whatever I can to help. I have played Racing Games my whole life it feels like although I have only ever had different versions of the XBox when my buddy called me and asked if I wanted to Buy his PS5 with all his Games and Gran Turismo was included. I Obviously have Fallen in Love with the Game! Stay Safe and Thanks for allowing me the Ramble, Sorry!

Also Difficulty is on Hard. I have played with it on Hard since I First Loaded the Game Up. Which has been a STRUGGLE 🤦‍♂️

Hi, wanted to add to this thread as I've been stuck on this event for the last week but have just finished Fuji.

I used the 962 for all races, power restriction down for Willow Springs and RBR, hard tyres and whichever FM was needed to do a no stop. As RealRacinGuy mentioned it's a great car for controller!

At Willow Springs the 962 had a big advantage in the last, first and second corners but lost out on acceleration down hill and straights. The AI did seem to punt each other off which was useful too.

On the RBR it did rain which forced the AI in but having tried it enough times I stayed out and nudged my closest rival wide at turn 2.

For Fuji I added as much ballast as possible before restricting the power and added the transmission set to 310. The AI still has way more top speed than me but this mitigated that as much as possible. For this race you need a high FM to make it to the end but I got lucky with rain at the end of lap 8. So I tried again on FM3 and switched to Inters. The AI then panicked and all pitted again so I took the lead at the start of the last lap and won by 3s. I managed to lap around 1:37 in the dry. No idea how this race is possible on a fully dry track.

Don't give up sometimes you just need the stars to align!

Relying on luck shouldnt be a strategy for cases that can be solved by applying knowledge and skills, but it may help at times.

The AI then panicked
I have some serious doubts about that expression, especially considering the AI will simply follow its programming of reading the watermeter and react to it when passing the pitlane (or however it reads the average per lap)
meter up to 1st bar: dry
meter up to 2nd bar: intermediates
meter above 3nd bar: wet
