Wow a fake F1 car.. lol.
Also, most of the cars are New ( Yes the MR2 is new, it was a standard) . I'm starting to think PD has the exclusive rights to Toyota. There was no way in hell they magically decided to start making a ton of Toyota premiums when the licence got pulled from every one else

Think I'm gonna buy every car except the Supra, Mr2 and old Alpine. The Aventador looks really good, wonder how it sounds....

I am really looking forward to trudging home through the snow to stay trying some of these cars out. I will be buying the Alpine A110 2018 straight away as I love that car. The De Tomaso Pantera, being totally new to Gran Turismo is very appealing too.

Thanks for posting images and the in-game previews.

Any word on GT League and new tracks? Last update all Kaz mentioned was cars and we got a few more races and one new track.

Also these cars are a little less exciting this time. I only truly want the Mustang, Pantera (because im curious about it) and the new Alpine. The Aventador, R8, Mr2 and Supra are cool too but not drooling over them.

edit: nvm. I thought the update is out tomorrow? Loaded up the PS4 and see its installing. Sweet!

Holy crap, the DeTomaso Pantera is real :eek::eek: I'm not gonna get over that for quite a while. And holy cow, it's the latest 2017 Alpine, along with the old one. That's a surprise.

I'm also super happy to see the MR2 SW20 added in the game (love that car ) More Toyotas? PD really is rubbing it on the faces of the other current racing games out there, aren't they? goodness, I think it's safe to say that they really struck out a deal with Toyota.

Looking forward to firing up 1.13. Hopefully should get the chance in an hour or two. I honestly was expecting the last car on the list to be the Light Car Company Rocket. An all-new fictional car was not what I was expecting at all. I've got around 750 grand in the bank at the moment so I'll probably save up for the F1500T-A. Apparently the design is based on 80s F1s with the monster turbo sixes, as opposed to the FGT which seems to be based off 90s 3.5 liter cars.

I wonder if PD is gonna get a monopoly on Toyotas much like the former EA Porsche monopoly. Regardless, it's nice to see at least one game getting some actual production Toyotas.

I doubt it. If they are capable of such a monopoly deal, they should have done it long ago with the Nissan GT-R R35, for obvious reasons. However, if that is the case, that they actually do have a monopoly deal with Toyotas right now, that will surprise me.

Regardless, it's nice to see at least one game getting some actual production Toyotas.

Not to mention the fact that PD is just casually pushing them out. It's crazy. They're like "oh, you liked the Supra and the other Toyotas from the previous update? Here, have some more Toyotas!"

Seeing the name on the replica F1 car made me think of the Ferd F-teen Thousand. I don't think it's appropriate to link here, so just search it on youtube for a laugh.

I really like the Alpines, and the MR-2 is a lovely addition. It would be a dream if they ever added the Alpine A220 to add to their roster of classic Le Mans sports cars.

They actually did it.

They made something beautiful, but all you hear is garbage, I'm astonished.
The Peugeot 908 HDi FAP got there first. A car which, in GT5 and GT6, sounded fantastic now sounds horrendous. It's like they chose Generic Engine 01 from a sound effects library. Absolutely no element of diesel clatter whatsoever. Embarrassing.

Took a few cars for a spin:

* MR2 -- really pleasant to toss around, probably the best handling of all the 1990s Japanese cars they've added. good engine sound.
* Pantera -- a really tactile engine growl in cockpit mode, and actually handles decently as well. feels like a muscle car you'd actually want to drive.
* Alpine (vintage) -- a bit slower than I had imagined, but handles exceptionally well. very satisfying vintage growling engine in cockpit mode. great stuff.
* Alpine (new) -- handles very well for a MR, quick. not as pleasant to drive as the 458, but gets the job done. average engine sound but some nice turbo spool in there. the cockpit looks a bit cheap, but can't blame PD for that, Renault put in a bunch of tacky LCD panels in there. I'm a bit upset that PD didn't give us Gr.3 and Gr.4 versions of this car.

Yeah I don't get it, their F1 car looks historic but certainly doesn't sound like it.
