Well, i've seen it all now. I was reading through a magazine in a shop the other day, and I stumbled accross a new Aston Martin Roadster. It has the icon Vanquich grille at the front, and looks quite sleek and pretty in a way, and this is only in the testing. I didnt really take much info in about the car as i was hoping to buy it.... NO MONEY, lol

SO if anyone has any news on the new Aston, Names the Aston Martine AB1 ( i think it was ), lol Please reply to me asap.

Could have been a DB7 Volante. That was a soft-top Aston, but it's a few years old. It's in GT2. Or it could have been the DB7 Zagato, which is brand new; less than 100 have been made, all sold. 6.0 litre V12, 440hp, £160,000. That any help?

AMERICAN ROADSTER VAN ASTON MARTIN
10-december-2002

I'm sorry it's in Dutch, but it says it will be unveiled at the LA show. AR stands for American Roadster and that means it will be certain it will go to the US when reactions are positive. It will be a two-seater, with a hand-made body (aluminium) and a 435 bhp 6.0 V12 in the front. With enough interest, there could be built a few, but they will be very expensive (hand-made !!) and certainly cost more than the DB7 Zagato.

That's all I could find.
The info comes from http://www.autovisie.nl/ There's a drawing of it too

Hey thanx for your replies, and i think that DRIESSIE got it right, lol. Any other car news you guys can think of thats HOT stuff ? Come on WOW me !

I actually like the Zagato. It's a marked improvement over the standard DB7, which is starting to look dated (not to mention it's already similar to the Jaguar XK).

The front end looks like a wide-mouthed whale shark, devouring everything. The rear is a bit less tidy, but the chopped-down trunk makes for a better stance from the side. Good pics on the link below.

The original, of course, blows away all modern Astons.

As for info on the new roadster:

Looks like the DB7 Zagato, doesn't it? A V12 roadster sounds nice to me, and I don't think they could find a much better face to put on it.

As long as we're talking about Aston Martin, it looks like they're reviving the DB5 name:

The Zagato is a really nice car i think. The specs are impressive, as with all aston martins. I like the Vintage DB's aswell yeah. Theyre really nice whenh found in pristine condition.
