I'm wondering what you smart people think PD will do with their new car dealers.

We have to beleive that most if not all of GT4 cars will be in GT5, so that'll take 700ish of the 950+ total of GT5 (amazing numbers), leaving 250 more cars to be shown'
If 3/4s of them are street cars, as opposed to race cars, that gives us 170ish. If a whole half of those are new, as opposed to classics that brings the number in the 80s. Split between 50 or so manufacturers, that leaves lots of empty showrooms.

The alternitive is to put the new cars from GT4 in as new cars. However, these cars being between 5 and 10 years old now might not look to kosher.

will they just do away with new car dealers, or do you have another idea?

So, how do you think PD will do it?

Well we already know about Ferrari, Bugatti and Lamborghini so there's 3 new manufacturers automatically. I'd expect most of the additional cars will be updated models of more mainstream cars like the Honda Civic and Ford Focusetc. And we mustn't forget the Nissan GT-R, GT-R V-spec, GT-R V-spec II, GT-R V-Spec II midnight purple GT-R V-Spec II midnight puple with stripe etc :P;)

Can't speak for everyone but personally, I'm joining my hands together for more classic (50's, 60's 70's) cars, they just have so much character and there is so much to learn from them, plus a nice Aston Martin DB6 in 1080p with cockpit view, climax.

So I am a bit confused by the "Car Dealer" term in GT. Is that just the way you term the menu item to access the cars you own? That is what I see in GT5p. Or are there actual dealer showrooms (kinda like PGR)?

I can imagine there will be some completely unpredictable, unheard of choices, and I can't wait to see what they are. Maybe they'll include the Tata Nano?

Yeah, but not for the car you own, for the cars you buy and/or win. It's just a term being used to represent each car manufacturer in the game.

Why? Until we see them in the game or hear someone confirm them in the game there's no indication that they are in at all.

There may not be a "confirmation" but there surely is a good "indication" in the GTPSP credits, as you've seen in the Maserati thread... and I was under the impression you'd considered it pretty much confirm in that thread.

No there's not and as I've said in the Maserati thread the license credited in GT PSP does not allow for PD to replicate the designs of the cars, it only allows them to use the Maserati name and logo, which is what they did, in thoes posters.

I was under the impression you said the following when you saw the GTPSP
screen:

Nice find mate, that pretty much confirms it 👍.

But you're probably right when it comes to Maserati's confirmation and I don't want to start an argument :); to many stupid arguments around these forums these days IMO

I did, but that doesn't mean I stand by that comment now. Another member pointed out that the license didn't mean the cars were included any only speifically covered the name and logo. He was right since no Maserati cars are featured in GT PSP. They wouldn't credit a license for something that's not included so that license can only be for the use of the name and logo in thoes posters in the case of GT PSP. Maserati may end up in GT5, but it's not because of the license credited in GT PSP or thoes posters.

Just because I said something before doesn't mean I must hold that view for the rest of my life ;).

Ok, I just didn't want it to sound like I was putting words in your mouth! :)

Nothing wrong with changing our minds, your explanation was perfectly clear 👍

Those are not new. The new GTR R35 is available only as the GTR, GTR Spec V and starting in Januari GTR Spec M.

My bad...yes, I did mean for the cars you buy win. Now I understand. Thanks!

No problem, I'm glad it's been clarified 👍.

They are new from GT4, which is the game the OP was referring to. And I was joking with thoes GT-R variants, but there always seems to be a lot of them ;).

I hope they have just as many NEW cars in the NEW car dealerships as GT4 had..But going on what is rumoured,GT5 is just GT4 plus less than 100 NEW streetcars

There can be a ferrari dealership,a nissan dealership (speaking of which is the 370Z confirmed or will the nissan dealership solely sell GTRs??)

I hate all this speculation, why cant Kaz release a list of the cars they have currently put in the game

The 370Z is confirmed, it was in the demo ad TGS, in some races you could see one of the AI cars drving one.

It sounds like possibly your argument is that "That car is not in GTPSP, so it will not be in GT5." Here is my counterargument: Tesla is not in GTPSP, Lamborghini Gallardos aren't in GTPSP, Most Ferrari's aren't in GTPSP, Aston Martin isn't in GTPSP, NASCAR isn't in GTPSP, so they wont be in GT5?

How on earth did you get that from my argument? :odd: Everyone knws that there will be cars in GT5 that arn't in GT PSP, it's blatantly obviouse that that's the case hence GT5's larger car count and thoes cars we already know about.

I you would care to re-read my posts it should be quite clear what I'm talking about and it's not that because one car isn't in GT PSP it won't be in GT5. It has everything to do with Maserati license that is credited in GT PSP and what that license means in relation to GT PSP and GT5. My posts are all in English.

Back when Gt4 was being delayed for the umpteenth time I think I remember seeing pictures of PD photoing the interiors and engines of several cars. The story at the time was that they were doing all the GT4 cars to GT5 specs. If that was true, and the newish info that PD have spent 60% of their working time on car models... all of a sudden, 1000 cars dosnt seem so outlandish. Maybe they will have more than 1-2 new cars per dealership.

with all these old cars that wouldn't be available at dealerships, I wonder what they'll do with them.

I think online realtime auctions would be fun.

of course that's me wondering about the flip side of the topic, I suppose.
