No Spending Money Challenge

I am doing a challenge run on GT5 where I don't spend money. Now it is likely you have seen Dove_7's video on him doing the challenge, but there is a flaw that made it too easy for him to get a good car and beat it easily.

Here are the rules I set out myself:
1: No spending money. Like at all. This means you will have to play on Spec II or above, as that gives out oil and rigidity tickets, and most importantly, a free car in the Toyota 86 GT '12. This also means you cannot upgrade your car AT ALL, so will need to rely on prize cars as much as possible.
2: No B-Spec. B-spec gives out better and more useful prize cars, making the challenge pointless. Also, this is an extremely boring way to play the game.
3: A-Spec Career only. This means no Special events and no Licenses. This is the flaw I was talking about in Dove's run. You earn lots of levels with ease and get the Mercedes CLK LM '98 by golding the Nurburgring event on intermediate. The licenses also give out more useful prize cars, and hands out XP on a silver platter. Pretty easy to see why a part of the game that trivialises the challenge is cut out.
4: Run ends when the you unlock BOTH ending credits (so beating both the GTWC and Dream Car Championship). When a challenge ends at the GTWC, it always seems premature. Like, you are skipping out on 1/2 of the career by ignoring the Expert, Extreme, and Endurance races. You can also add some spice that you have to complete all possible events, and see how much of the game is able to be passed without spending a single credit.
5: No selling cars. It is pointless, since you don't need the money, and you can softlock yourself very easily.

To anyone unhappy with the rules, I made them for myself. If you want different rules, make them yourself. I just set these ones out to make it more interesting for me.

Happy? Good. I am still doing the challenge, but am approaching the end. I am at the Expert series, but haven't beaten the GTWC (because I don't have a good enough car yet), so I have a route on how to navigate the early game. If you want to see the route, click in the spoiler section. If you don't and want to try and figure it out yourself, or are playing by a different ruleset, ignore and keep reading

  • Get the Toyota 86 GT '12 for being on Spec II.
  • Do the Sunday Cup (Obviously). After doing this, you get the Toyota VITZ U Euro Sports Edition '00
  • After the Sunday Cup, do the World Compact Car Race, which unlocks at Level 1. Despite the name, you can enter with the 86 GT. Doing this will give you the Hommel Berlinette R/S '99
  • Continuing with the 86 GT, you should have Level 4, so can do the FR Challenge. This is a more difficult race, especially at the start of the challenge, but is possible without upgrades. This race will get you the Toyota FT-86 Concept '09.
  • Switch to the FT-86 and do the Clubman Cup. The FT-86 is a lot faster than the 86 GT, so is a much safer bet. With this event comes the Honda MUGEN MOTUL CIVIC Si Race Car '87. Yeah, that's right. Race Car.
  • For the next 4 races, I will show what events to do (can be done in any order, if you have the level) and what prize car you get from that event, with the Level requirement. All useless cars will have an asterisk beside them.
  • Since you have a Race Car, a VITZ, and the Berlinette this early, you do:
-- The FF Challenge (Lvl 0, Honda Civic SiT-II (EG) '91) with the CIVIC Race Car
-- The VITZ Race (Lvl 2, Toyota PRIUS G Touring Selection (J) '03*) with the VITZ (yes it is possible)
-- The European Hot Hatch Championship (Lvl 5, Volkswagen Lupo GTI Cup Car '03) and the Tous France Championnat (Lvl 7, Citroen 2CV Type A '54*) with the Berlinette
  • Use the road-going '90s Civic to win the Japanese 90's Challenge, giving you the Nissan SILEIGHTY '98. Technically the SILEIGHTY is useless, but you can repeat an event here to get more XP easier with it.
  • Now you should be able to do the Lupo Cup, so use the Lupo Cup Car and do the event to get the Volkswagen Lupo 1.4 '02, which is useless since you have the Cup Car.
  • Now do the Japanese 80's Festival with the CIVIC Race Car. For being in the Professional League, this event is easy as. This gives you the Toyota Celica XX 2800GT '81, which is useless
  • You may see a trend here. We are doing events that give useless cars, so shouldn't need to do them. Well, here is where I ask you: Are you really insane enough to do the same race over and over, whilst you could be checking off any and all possible events?
  • After repeating some races not too many times, you should be at Level 15, so that means you can do the Schwarzwald League A. This event gives the Opel Speedster Turbo '00, which despite having more PP, is not as good as the Cup Car, so is therefore useless.
  • Now grind the Schwarzwald League A races to get to the Japanese Championship to get the Gran Turismo 350Z RS.
This is where I am at currently. The goal for me is to get a car fast enough for Like the Wind, so I can get the Toyota MINOLTA 88C-V Race Car '89, which can floor the GTWC and Dream Car Championship and complete the challenge. If I cannot get it, then it is likely that the challenge is impossible, since no car I would have can take on the GTWC, which has proper race cars that outclass the CIVIC Race Car.

Any updates to the route will be added into the route, and the conclusion will be added as another spoiler. Thank you for taking the time to read.
I am actually having a lot of fun with this challenge, as I have to plan everything on the fly and challenge myself with events I never thought were possible. And whether or not the challenge is possible, I am excited to see what the outcome is (and how much moolah I end up with).

Oh, and if you have done this before, DON'T SPOIL IT!!!! I want to find out the outcome on my own accord, hence why for anyone wanting to do it themselves, I put the route under spoiler.
