Hi Everyone,
To answer the questions first I play gt5 on my ps3, and wanted to find out the best settings to use the cars I own.
I am from the state of Washington.
I started playing racing games in 2009.
I do not have the steering wheel so I use a game paddle instead.
I also play Call of Duty games and Guitar Hero games on my ps3.
I look forward to meeting new friends here. Hopefully I can find someone to race with or play ps3 games with.
Thanks for bringing fun times to families all over the world.
STAY SAFE

Hi everyone, here from USA. I found GTplanet while looking for time trial tips and news about Gran Turismo 7. I’ve been a fan of racing games for a long time (going back to Outrun in the arcades when I was a kid) and playing different games (f-zero and top gear on the SNES, need for speed and then gran turismo and forza horizon), games on and off through the years.

I picked up gran turismo 7 on sale a few months ago and it hooked me instantly and made me remember how much I love driving. I decided to get really, really into it and practice a couple hours a day at least, even starting doing online races when the kids go to sleep, working though circuits and missions, licenses, etc. I find it therapeutic and I love the feeling of being focused, thinking ahead to the next corner and visualizing what I need to do.

I played with a controller at first and thought let’s just do this, tried a Logitech g923 at a local retailer and went for a Logitech g-pro and pro pedals eventually.

Currently working through a bad Achilles tendonitis on my left foot! I was braking left foot prior to that but now exclusively right-foot braking until my foot heals from recent surgery.

I have a soft spot for JRPGs also. Looking forward to connect with ppl on PSN and drive in lobbies, race, connect on time trials and tips, name there is bigfluffy888

Hi,

I am the new one ...

My name is Marc, i found thus page via Google, searching for some information about GT7.

I come from Northrhine-Westfalia, Germany and I started playing racing games with my Atari2600 some decades back. So you see i am some older guy ....

I play with the normal PS4 controller as i do it just as some relaxing and time spending after work, nevertheless am always hunting for better results and improvement .....

Besides TT7 i mostly play FC25 with my son. I hope to fet some new input here to improve my GT7skills ...

Feel free to ask me if you want to know some more ;-)

Hi everyone,

my name is Malte from Germany, I‘m 33 yo and you might now me as ImbissBrunto in the game (I love making replica liveries there).

I‘ve been visiting GTPlanet for a while now because I consider it a great source for news regarding the game and finally decided to create an account because I want to participate in this community.

I‘m a big fan of cars and motorsports and I’ve been playing racing games for 20 years now and consider GT4 my favorite game of all time.

I‘m playing on a PS4 Pro currently, however I‘m going to upgrade to a PS5 Pro later this year.

Besides GT7 I‘m currently playing the F1 games, The Witcher 3 and Battlefield V. Apart from gaming I also train MMA, I go to the gym and I‘m really into art, design and architecture.

I‘m really looking forward to joining this community and also sharing my liveries here. Thanks!

  • How did you find GTPlanet?

I have been reading the site for a while as a lurker just picking up info I was after now & again, but figured it about time I join the forum so I can input rather than just absorb whats already posted, with luck I can be of some help to others, as others poats have been for me over the years.
  • Where are you from?

Born in Germany, but spent most of my life in the UK in varying locations, I'm currently living in North Wales, a breath of fresh air really after 40 years of city living.

  • When did you start playing racing games?

I started at the beginning with GT on the PS1 & fondly remember saving up funds for the anticipated release of GT2

  • Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?

No just on the regular controller due to space limitations sadly.

  • What other games do you enjoy?

I don't game as much as I used to, but have always been a huge fan of 1st person shooters & the GTA series, I dread to think of the hours I've spent on the OG Doom games.

  • What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?

    Learning & sharing

Hey everyone!
Im 902KARTOGRAPHY I have been playing GT since Day One way back in the day; many racing games have come and gone but Gran Turismo has been the trusty constant in my gaming life. Im a car photographer and with the advent of in-game photography if Im not racing Im usually found in SCAPES. I recently made the conversion from racing on Controller to getting my first Steering Wheel [Thrustmaster T80] and have thoroughly been enjoying it I am already looking at what to replace it with.
Add me on PSN if you wanna have some fun cruises or race. Im not Pro tier in any means of racing but I enjoy just cruising and can handle my own if need be.

PSN; ThatNovaScotian
[If you add me drop a message to let me know you're from GTP as I have a list for people on GT7]

Hi everyone,

I'm Tcheupa,

I found this very useful forum googling informations about GT7.

I'm from Switzerland, I began in the '90 with Indianapolis 500: The Simulation on PC playing with the keyboard...

I'm currently on PS5 with GT7 (mostly), AC Ultimate, ACC and F1 24 with a Logitech G Pro D Wheel or RS track wheel depending on car type.

Besides, I'm quite fond into the Legend of Zelda.

I'm mostly looking forward to optimizing my wheel settings depending on games and updates.

See you

Hi All,

Just joined up after following the site for awhile. Found Gtplanet while searching for info on the game and gear in general when I first decided to start playing- which has only been since late Nov. ‘24.
I started out with a wheel- t248, knew instantly that it would be a passion to invest into and moved quickly to a t598. Upon quality control problems with that I moved to a Logi Pro DD. I started flat-screen as well but quickly moved to VR and utilize that exclusively.
I’m not much of a gamer, this is my first gaming-related forum, but I’ve been at it since the Atari 2600(oldman born in 1976). GT7 is my first real racing game and I’ve come to Gtplanet in hopes of absorbing and maybe one day even adding to the vast experience and knowledge here.
My other, mostly primary, goal is to meet clean and fair folks to race with, and from what I’ve seen Gtplanet is the place to do so.
On that note, my psn Id is damons_cameo, and my friends list is dreadfully small at the moment ( having never played any online/multiplayer games ever before Gt7) so I’m hoping that changes as I get to meet and know more of you.

l enjoy and appreciate both the game and this site, with the game being almost a complete surprise in how much fun I have at times and the potential it holds for even more. Thanks to all here for any info and tips I’ve already learned to make me a better racer and I look forward to becoming part of this community and sharing the track with many here.

Hi everyone,

I'm Remy,

I found this because i`m looking for a new setup for GT7

I'm from the Netherlands, i started playing GT from the first copy that came out, probably still around somewhere in my house,

I'm currently on PS4/5 with GT7 (90% of the time), GT Sports and AC Ultimate with a Logitech G29

i think it`s most for looking into the new setup i`m building, its a trakracer TR160 V5, with a Samsung Odyssesy G5 curved screen.
i`m now on a logitech g29 steering wheel, but i want to change it to a diff setup probably a club sport DD+ however i`m completely new to this, since it more for my daughter than for myself. i try to find as much info and reviews as i can. before buying it. so every feedback is highly appriciated.

Hi,
Marcin, here. I'm from Poland. My adventure with racing games started with "Continental Circus" on Commodore C64 back in 1990. But the first real love started with Gran Turismo 1 (PSX) in 1998r and later Colin McRae Rally. It was the best year in the world of simracing games ever. GT intro "Everything Must Go - The Chemical Brothers remix" intro also totally influenced my music taste (best racing game intro ever)
Then there was school, work, duties, no time for games. LIVE.
And now, after all these years, at age 41, I'm back to racing - I bought my first T300RS Ferrari Alcantara Edition + TH8S shifter set.
I also want to get my young 3 sons interested in this hobby :)

I am looking on this forum for tips on how to set up this equipment and games on PS5.

Grady Moran here from Texas in the US
I was searching online for suggestions on GT7 I kept finding pages from GTPlanet. There is a lot of good content on this site.
I only started playing GT7 a year ago. I race actual cars (BMW 2002 and Sylvia S13 clone) but I was only averaging three or four race weekends a year. That amounts to maybe ten hours of seat time assuming the weather cooperates, the car stays healthy and you drive every practice session. Figure on about $1200/weekend assuming nothing expensive breaks. And I've been driving on the same four regional tracks for the last twenty years. Traveling to any other track is both more expensive and a hassle. GT7 originally was a way to get simulated seat time in my cars (the E30 M3 detuned and lightened is very similar to the 2002 race car). It quickly became addictive and gave me a chance to drive different tracks with different cars and become a better racer.
I use a Logitech G29 wheel and pedal set mounted on a racing cockpit. I recently got a stick shifter from Logitech but haven't hooked it up yet. I've gotten addicted to the paddle shifters.
Other than poker I don't play other games. Not enough time.
I looking forward to getting advice from more seasoned players. Both in terms of strategies and tuning set-up. I had done a motor swap from a 911 into a VW Bug and the result was practically undriveable. I found a tuning sheet here on GTPlanet and the car was now glued to the track and dropped 14 seconds per lap. I'm sure I have a lot of cars that would benefit from being re-tuned.
Cheers,
Grady

Hello there, GTPlanet.
Devin here, from the state of Illinois in USA.

My racing journey starts all the way back when I was a little kid, living with a lot siblings and relatives.
Growing up I have family members having game consoles just to play and my first experience was playing the ps1. The first racing game I play was Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit, seeing fast cars racing through virtual sceneries.

Although I play different genres of games on controller, I start playing with steering wheel when i was little for a while until ten years ago I purchased and own one starting with the Thrustmaster T80. After that I upgraded to a Thrustmaster T150 which currently using.

Beside racing games, I enjoy playing sports games, fps, and little bit of sandbox.

I'm just here to share my experiences on GT7 and just look through to help maximize my gaming experience.
