All,
Bought a new car today.
It's a 2001, which is the final year for the first-generation A4. It's a 190-horse 2.8-liter V6 coupled with the 5-speed automatic with Tiptronic, good for a 7.5sec 0-60, or thereabouts. Not as quick as my first car, but it makes up for it in other ways. All options. I got a good deal, and hopefully it'll serve me well until I graduate from college in three years, and perhaps one or two years beyond that. Only 44,000 miles, though it's had two prior owners.
I begged the woman at the DMV for a good number and received a choice between a regular plate number 079-OLN and this one, which is a 50th Anniversary of the Air Force plate. I chose this one. Admit it - it's way cool.
I've attempted to re-create the famous Carrera GT picture, only this time with a slightly less powerful German car:
Unfortunately, it's impossible to replicate the lack of focus and the overall darkness present in the Carrera GT shot.
What does everyone think of my car?!
