Everybody just complains! It's got a Hemi, a 5spd auto, RWD/AWD, what else do you want? It's a lot better than any Intrepid. Just look how far Chrysler has come from the K-cars.

I'm complaining because of the styling. It's nowhere near deserving the Charger badge.

Sheer wisdom.....

I think it's kind of cool.đź‘Ť

The performance is fine, it's the design we're complaining about! Design is especially important when redesigning a classic.
ultrabeat
It's super cirrus you fool.
It's circus now.

where in the hell do they see "Charger" in that design? have any of them ever actlually seen a real Charger? what's with the gigantic grill? it's a magnum coupe and that's what i'll call it. I'll never call that thing a Charger. A disgrace!

I don't care much for it. It's a shame, becuase my very first car was a 69 Dodge Charger. I loved the 1999 Concept Charger. It's a real shame Dodge decided to redisgn it to make it look similar to the Cadillac CTS-V.

That's Dodge for you; give some of there engines the "Hemi" badge, even though they aren't true Hemi's. Hey, lets use the Charger name to generate sales?

I don't know if that is there thought, but I was hopeing for a 2-door muscle packed (with a good updated style them to it, including the interiore, and build quality) true sports car. Meh, I still think GM did the GTO well, critizize me all you want.

I don't hate it, just don't think it deserves the "charger" name. :(

I think they should stick to an original idea of +400hp on a boat-like body with the extremelya aggressive and gaping mouth. Now that would turn head and give a corvette (instead of a mustang) a run for its money. Has Dodge forgot what it's competing with?

Precisely. Well said.

OK, so perhaps it does not do the Chargers of yore justice. But, it's still a damn good car. And at least it does not desecrate a RWD legend by replacing it with a FWD K-car (a.k.a the Charger-badged Daytonas--not that they are bad, there were good for what they were). Or consider the FWD Monte Carlo and Impala.

I still think it desecrates the name a fair bit.

I agree they were horrible, too.

Also, I laugh at the quote in that Image above: "...FURTHER PROOF THAT THE DODGE'S 2.2 LITER ENGINE IS DESTINED TO BECOME A LEGEND." Destiny sure does take a long time.

Hiya! :D :embarrassed:  Meow! (='.'=)

I feel the same way as many of you do....This is just wrong for how the Charger should look :( It doesnt share anything that resemble the classic charger :( And its a SEDAN???? Wow, classic muscle fans will SURELY be dissapointed with that! Just why can't they just remake that same styling of the Charger back then and give it some changes to make it more modern? :odd: A good example of bringing back a legend would have to be the Ford GT! :embarrassed: I think that is done right! :embarrassed: đź‘Ť

The new GT seems almost a little too-GT40ish, correct me if im wrong but the new one hardly LOOKS new at all, but more of just re-introducing an old favorite.

heh except for every other word consisting of a typo :ouch:
