A new version has come out. 0.8 was released today along with a name change. Firebird has now become Firefox. I read that they changed the name because of a opensource prog out there that already has the name Firebird. I never knew that but whatever. Heres the link to download the latest version which now has an installer to use instead of having to unzip a zip file like before. Enjoy: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

:)

saweeeet - I'll have to play with it for a while. If it's good 'nuf, it's going to the tweaking thread :D

I heard about a 0.8 release a while back, been waiting for it. Oh, and is it just me, or does Firefox sound stupid? I prefered Firebird.

Thanks VM. 👍

Edit: Oooh, the new download manager kicks much behind.

I just downloaded this and it's great but is there a way to restore the original IE font style theme?
This is what my browser looked like before:

Slick, pressing Ctrl and + will increase the text size. Unfortunately, you'll have to do it everytime you visit GTP...

Ha, this is awesome.

It's even faster and it imported my Firebird settings and proxy.

👍
Yeah, I was amazed to start up Firefox and arrive at my old homepage. 👍

The Firebird settings are stored in your windows profile, so it probably just uses the old settings, or copies them to a new folder in the application data folder in your profile.

Yeah, but usually a new revision of Firebird has the homepage set at the mozilla site.

Awesome... I'm currently browsing GTPlanet with Firefox now. Hopefully after I get the program all figured out I will set it as my default browser(maybe).

I do have one question though. Is the download manager in Firefox able to resume downloads if the server kills them or if you get knocked offline? I have a download manager that does this but it has since quit working(The stupid thing wants a free registration code but the site to get one doesn't work  ) and I need a program that lets me resume file downloads.

EDIT: Nope, it doesn't resume downloads. I really do not understand why most browsers do not support this.

I was just using Firefox and there was no scrollbar present. It sucks. Is there an option somewhere to turn it on that any of you know about, because I can't seem to figure it out.

Edit: Nevermind, it's just this old theme I was using.

Can someone tell me how to delete my temp internet files. Or do you just use the internet explorer option to delete them?

I skipped right over that. I didn't think privacy had anything to do with it. But now I know, Thanks spock.👍

Is it me or when I try to access deviantART with Firefox 0.8 it gives me a " Operation timed out ". Something like that, is it happening for anyone else?

Operation timed out has nothing to do with Firefox. It means that the dA server wasn't responding and it took to long to connect.

Yeap, it's working for me too. I just enabled smooth scrolling, it's alot better now. This rocks.

Themes for Firefox 0.8 -

Here

Buttons for your website! I'm planning on adding one to mine.

Erm, you may want to fix that first link. Also, those links are the same one. :P

I'll probably add a button also. It's just a matter of finding time to do so.
