Hi,

for those who still don't know, a new documentary was released yesterday in the Japanese GT-TV. it's called "the GT-R Legend Another Story". VOD file is about ~800MB i'm downloading it right now.

it shows the nurburgring track in GT5. let's hope PD will release it for free in GT5P's Fall update. :)

check the trailer here.

I think if they introduce the damage system and the Nürburgring in a free update, Prologue sales are going to asplode for a second time. 👍

Was this previously announced anywhere before it was released? And are there any hints as to when (or if) it will be released in North America? I can't wait to see this. Stupid NTSC version... :grumpy:

Yeah, the first thing that came to mind when I saw it was "this is from GT4".

It would be a shame if they keep it this way 'til the final release.

Thanks for the info and the link, I can't download programmes from GTTV. My updates to the Japan prologue work fine and the last two updates went quickly, online play is great but I've never been able to get GTTV to work, even through my JPN account.

Here is the error message I get.

i watched it already, seems that the demo nurburgring track they show is just the GT4 version, with R35 running on it
I don't know what it is. seems like an alpha version or something (the video was probably shot in 2007). these captures show the track looks like as in GT4 but the car looks like a GT5 car, isn' it? :irked:

yes it was announced in the Japanese site only. here. i don't know when it will be subtitled and released overseas. did you got the Top Gear videos by the way? :D

did you got this message today? and is your copy a BD or a PSN version?

Thanks for the info. Actually, no, I still can't get the Top Gear videos. They don't appear on the GT-TV icon, and I far as I know they haven't been made available for NTSC yet. Weird.

Thanks for the update.
Well, i'm going to have to watch my download limit here, untill the video arrives. Hehe. ;)

OMG!! I wish I had the japanese version!!!!!!!!

If the GTR in the showroom was masked, is it a possibility that it is the GT5 engine running the GT4 'ring'? The pic looks like bad graphics so it looks like it.

EDIT: From the trailer the trees look pretty Next gen, but I remeber the trees in GT4 looking pretty good, also the HUD is the latest style.

If you recall they did the same thing at the 2007 24 Heure Du Mans with a high res version of La Sarthe and it featured GT5 models of the Audi TT 3.2 and the R8 4.2.

Also too add the Nur to Prologue would be completely stupid seeing that it is a big draw to the main game (i.e. the REAL GT5)

you mean this. it was GTHD... i don't know what to think. do you have a mirror in GT4 and GTHD? this Nurburgring stuff was done in late 2007 and was not showcased in a public event as far as i know.

in december 2007 they used the Nurburging track in the Japanese commercial for GT5P.

maybe if these PD guys are enough "stupid" to release +30 extra cars, the extra High Speed Ring, bring car damage etc. all for free, they don't mind about giving us the Nurburgring. :D

omgomgomomg....i will seriously kiss PD if they include the ring in the fall update!

Me too:)

I wouldn't say stupid, in fact i'd say it'd be quite a clever move
to give GT5p sales another big boom before the ONE is released:)

I have a question for the JP version owners on this forum: how big was the Spec II update last month that included the HSR and the 30+ cars? I ask this because the super-long Nürburgring and la Sarthe tracks would probably be huge files. Add to that the damage coding and extra cars that will likely be included in the fall update, and these tracks might be just too big to be included.

i think the latest HD video is actually bigger than the spec II update. :)

update size was posted on the spec II thread when it was released back in march.

I watched the video and its clearly not GT4. Its more like a Alpha or Beta version of GT5 or GT5: P version of the track. The graphics are definately better than the gt4 version but needs a lot of work.

Nurburgring isnt the only draw to the game. Its only one of the things that draw others to the game. Theres also Lemans along with a whole lot other cool tracks. You also gotta think about car tuning and (Hopefully) a proper Caree mode. The races thats in GT5: P seem to be more like Licence tests than proper races.

I too would love to see NurburgRing Nordschliefe added to Prologue but im not getting my hopes up.

PS Sorry for bumping this thread

Im downloading that nurburgring trailer now in the Japanese GT TV. Most likely it will take a few months for the non Japanese GT to get the videos though. I wonder when we will get the next update because one of the GT guys said we will have a few updates between Spec II and final release of GT5. I hope we get something new soon.

Anyone else notice the GTR is driving on a different set of wheels?
