10 days and the whole thing will be shown!

Find the teasers not very exiting, I must say.

@ExigeEvan

maybe you misunderstood me, but what you said is exactly what I agree with. Efficiency for performance is wonderful, trying to make a supercar environmentally friendly isn't.

On topic: Those would make some interesting air vents. Automakers have been moving away from the vents that blow directly onto the passengers for a while now. Red steering wheel?

Wouldn't it be ironic if this new Lambo was in GT5 which is only 6 weeks away?

Woul;dn't it be more ironic if they delayed the game for this car?

Just koking. But this "new Lamborghini" is suprising. Just something about a successor to the all-mighty Murcie makes me wonder what more can Lamborghini do?

A Murcielago is over 3600 pounds. Subtract 1100 from that and you get 2500. So yeah, that's probably about right.

Has a Lambo ever hit 2500 pounds in road form in the history of the company? Even the Miura was over that!

I'm all for the lightweight approach, I just thought the number was a huge exaggeration.

TVC
And all of the Murcielagos predecessors have been V12s but I guess it is possible to change it now (which wouldn't really make sense)... Maybe they are releasing the Murcielago and Gallardo successor at the same time? Or they are only going to make one V10 car instead of a V10 and V12?

It seems unlikely both model lines would be replaced at the same time. This run of teasers has been confusing, to say the least...

Our definitions of irony are wildly different.

...

I want to see a Jota / Murci replacement, and personally I'd love if it actually went even further into the realm the Reventon lives in. The newest teaser looks like some out-there concept car interior, and the one before seemingly confirms a 10-cylinder powerplant, so I'm hoping this is all build-up for some Gallardo spin-off, while the Jota remains a complete surprise. Lambo sure knows how to drum up anticipation though, since it's definitely causing a stir and getting some of us to dissect these incredibly vague hints.

+1
Seriously. I'm barely keeping my eyes open and wouldn't be able to tell you what 2+2 is but I was scratching my head reading that over and over thinking I was missing something.

Correct. Took Autoblog a few days to finally realize that.
So no V10?..........To be honest,i was kinda hoping for a high reving V10 similar to the carrera GT..but i guess not, Oh well, Bring on the 12!!!
To be honest...the teaser pics were looking alittle to wild for "Lamborghini" taste, reminded me more of something pagani would birth..

It's still ironic. Irony is the defined as the opposite of the literal meaning. It would be ironic for Lambo to say "We're going to unveil this car a year from now" and then unveil it tomorrow. But, I suppose, "funny" would have been a better term.

Look at the definition you just gave, and your example of irony (which is still utterly un-ironic). Irony was the "unsinkable" Titanic going down on its maiden voyage. Irony's an animal rights activist getting trampled by cows during a protest. Or an ambulance rushing to save a life, and running someone over. A car being released in a video game, over a month after it's public unveiling, isn't ironic in any way, especially considering there is a solid relationship between both parties.

Head on over to http://www.isitironic.com/ , maybe that'll help.

On-topic: So, I guess there's still a chance of seeing the Jota, since Lambo's bringing 2 cars? I'm curious to see what this design study is like; assuming it's Gallardo-based, I imagine it's a more extreme example of the latest talks of lower weight and a focus on handling. Which I'm more than fine with, since I've liked each successive raging bull release more than the last 👍

This car being shown is more than likely a V10. It's going to be showcasing the carbon technology that will be on the "Jota" but more people seem interested in the car looking like a stripped out racer.

Unless they completely change their mind, the "Jota" will be at Geneva.

I have a suspicion that this concept will be similar to yours; modified Gallardo-platform that will be stripped out purely to show off the all the new tech. they're releasing.

Teaser IV:

It's not a wheel, the higher edges would stick out way too much.

It's probably the oil cap in the middle of the engine cover.

Like the KTM X-Bow

I'm thinking, considering what we've seen so far, that might not be that far off from what this concept turns out to be.
Maybe something like the X-Bow, or what the Lotus 340R was to the Elise, this might be to the Gallardo.
Not as extreme as an Ariel Atom and maybe retaining more Lamborghini styling cues than the 340R did in retaining Lotus styling cues but it does seem to illustrate the fact it's lightweight visually as well.
