So, are the normal Lancers still going or are they gone too?
Looks like the Lancer is done Mitsubishi global models promised from Mitsubishi
Both the Lancer, which will cease production in Japan by year’s end, and ASX, which received an update last month, are unlikely candidates to fill the remaining three ‘full-model-change’ slots, leaving space open for the Outlander crossover, Mirage light car, Pajero SUV, Triton workhorse and related Pajero Sport.

The trouble with the Lancer Evo was that it became increasingly less relevant and harder to justify as Mitsubishi faded out of rallying and the car was no longer needed for homologation.

Subaru might have had similar problems but I suspect the WRX STI remains partly because its running gear and basic drivetrain is shared with virtually every other model in the Subaru range, which probably makes for quite good economies of scale. When your entire car range is based around a flat four engine and all-wheel drive it's relatively easy to slap a bigger turbo, coat of blue paint and a bit spoiler on and continue your legacy (no pun intended).
