the lumina ss coupe comes from australia (it is built here with monaros) so they send over i few the US (from australia) that would have gone to the middle east

the catera is not a rabadged commodore it only uses the same body

other from the body the cars are totally different, but the lumina SS is exactly the same (exept badges and left hand drive)
you may be able to do the swat still with out many probs

the monaro has come out in australia with the 427ci big block so you might be able to but one of them in it

Viper, would you mind telling me what kind of car the MFP used in "Mad Max" & the one Mel used in "The Road Warrior". (I think it's a Ford) I'm sure you've answered this here already, & I used to know this, but my curiosity is piqued now. Thanks.

the car is a Ford XC Falcon coupe
XC being the model code
i dont know the exact year of the mad max car but the XC is around 1976-79

I saw a brand new red car, most likely 2004, in the NOVA [northern VA Community college] parking lot. I approached the car to see what in the hell it was. And I saw the Badges, Chevy Lumina and the famous ""SS"" logo on it. I was surprised to see it. So this thing really exist and to whoever said it didn't, they need it see it for theirselves to believe it.

I've read all the 2004 new car reports, and I can say two things for sure:

- it isn't in any of them
- I haven't seen an advert for it

Unless Chevy's decided to try and sell these things through the art of non-promotion, I think you've seen a normal Lumina with SS badges. Prove me wrong - I'd be delighted.

It could be a former military person that was stationed in the middle east bought a Lumina SS and brought back and had it DOT/EPA Approved. All the Lumina SS is a rebadged Monero/Commodore.

the car is only available in the UAE and KSA(gulf countries) its a holden but because we dont have a holden company here in the united arab emarites they made it as a chevy there are 2 kinds of them:
1-lumina S and its a V6 with a 3,8litres
2-lumina SS and its a V8 with a 5,7litres 350 horse powers
