New OCD - Time-Drift Trial 21

Do these have the usual time trial awards of 150k, 350k, and 500k and once you get a gold you get all 3? Is there also a helmet, suit, and paint chip as well? What is the gold time for each?

Sorry, stuck and work for another 7 hours and jonesing for a GT5 fix.

But can we really call a game a "Sim" when people in their living rooms can best by 3+ seconds the lap record of Rubens Barichello? He had a 1:09.454 in Practice and a best of 1:10.223 in Qualifying. I tuned the heck out of an F10 and got to 1:11.105 and thought I'd accomplished something - being within a second of an F1 Champ. (With a controller BTW, not a wheel)

formula GT unrestricted would not be formula....maybe even not indy legal. excessive downforce and power. could be the reason it's beating a REAL car around the track

Obvious! Although the downforce bit is debatable
Hence the question about the F1 car performance.

As for the laptime set in with the F10, impressive. But you say you tuned heck out of it. Would you still be able to set that time in a standard tuned F10, hard racing tyres and still pop off a 1:11 without assists (if you use any)? I'm not criticising but I'm just putting a few forms of a logic out there, common factors that separting sim/game from absolute reality.

With that saying, there are some stupidly quick drivers out there playing GT5.

Hate the FGT, but used a nice Nissan March with big wing for other time trial. Where is drift trial 21?

I didn't find that track fun with the DS3, after a few tries I got .005 seconds under the Gold time and got out, but I do like that it's possibly a tribute of sorts to Dan Wheldon.

Looking forward to the other TT though, and hoping my OCD Veyron is blue and black, as I still don't have that combination

Personally, I'd say PD just got silly with the X1, seems like they wanted to just go nuts with a racing car base then COMPLETELY overdo it. Which frankly I wasn't impressed by. But each to their own.

It was the F2004 Ferrari. And his times are the all time record at the Indy GP circuit.

As for the laptime set in with the F10, impressive. But you say you tuned heck out of it. All assists were off except Traction Control at 2 to help with the launch. I did have soft tires. Full downforce, stiff springs and heavy front brake bias (5/1). Seems to suit my driving style.

I put a similar tune on the FGT and just got a 1:09.856

The Non-Racing Car TT is ridiculously easy, I got gold (1:12.XXX) with a Lotus Elise 111R from the NCD with the ECU chip downtuned to 197 HP on comfort mediums. Matter-of-fact, it's TOO easy, 1,000,000 credits for 1:30 minutes of work, almost no effort.

Same here. Gold with first lap in the same car, then 1:09.xxx after three laps. Was expecting more of a fight; maybe it's all that practice we get on TSukuba

Oddly I went back to the TTs a bit later to have look at the FGT one and my gold for the Tsukuba TT had gone. So I went back into it and my 'online record' was still there. Did the TT again in the 111R and got 1:08.xxx (DS3)and another million creds (I think I still had the creds from first time!)

Managed bronze in the FGT with DS3 - hard work. I normally use wheel for serious stuff though.

I noticed the same thing after I completed both TT's. Tsukuba gold was missing but the time was there, ended up doing it again with my 192hp Miata

Well I tried PR1VATEJ0KER's setup posted earlier and after one or two tweaks got my time down to a 1.09.467, 333rd overall.

That's not too bad but I have absolutely no idea how people are going 3s faster than me, should probably check out some replays

I only did a few laps so I got plenty more time to come . I put brake balance to 7F and 3R as your setup is too unstable in braking for me. I'm no expert in setup work in this game so will copy others who have done a fast time. I need to learn the aspect of tuning though so maybe over the year I will pickup on how to make cars faster in the game. I think I got my new one up to 936BHP, my old one was similar to yours. Have you tried an oil change?

Whats up with this? can anyone figure it out the solution for this? i have already cleaned the cache, reset the ps3, installed the game again and so on, and still, i cant find/enter the seasonal drift trial 21..

Drift Seasonal was pulled. They will reload when they fix whatever the issues were.

Well I've beaten you PR1VATEJ0KER for the time being. My target was to get under 1 seconds behind the leader and just about managed for now. I know I can maybe find another half a second if I nail it with the current setup. The rest of the time I would require maybe a slightly better setup and more skill.

I can see why Lewis Hamilton did well here, it suits his driving style perfectly.
