But seriously: imagine the guy that really REALLY take this whole FIA championship deal seriously and he works towards it. Diet, gymnastics, discipline, reflex and concentration training and racing racing racing. Then you get in the lobby (which is totally random in FIA races mind you) with this kind of glitchers...

It's amazing that something like this is in the game to begin with, even more amazing that it isn't instantly remedied with a hotfix.

We don't know the root cause. It may be easy to replicate but not so easy to fix. I remember trying to track down a bug for 6 months before we found that it was a race condition bug.
I see people attempting this more and more so I do hope a solution comes quickly.

To be honest I was expecting some link to Portuguese forum where all of this originated from because it looked like that.
You know, like some guy found a new glitch and shared it to some local/regional forum with his buddies and not with the entire world so they can exploit it exclusively as long as they can. If you felt offended or that I`m offending your Nation then I`m sorry - wasn`t my intention. Peace.
BTW - I think the source of this new glitch is a modified method of "pit in reverse" bug and it originates from largest playstation trophy hunters forum. They were trying to level up as fast as it`s possible to reach level 50 - someone taken offline exploit to online races and there you go...

I would be so happy and ecstatic to one day watch a video where a scumbag cheating would instead get an on screen message. "congrats for your puerile attempt to cheat the game. Accordingly we have reset all your stats and trophies to zero. Have a nice day! '
I agree, instead of fixing it proper, they should send a message to whoever tries it after the fix....
Something like, if pit is entered on first lap, it will auto drive you to your garage, then your pit crew comes out and takes the wheels off the car, and you just sit there for the entire race on the jack with no wheels... As if you have conceded.
There are games out there that have done something like that in the past to cheaters and hackers.

Banned for exposing a bugged game, How about fixing it instead? It would be different if they were hacking/moding, etc and actually cheating but they're not.

As I said some players only wants to grab platinum trophy as fast as possible and be done with game. So they were searching for a way to speed up leveling (because 50 lvl needs a massive amount of experience points and many many months of proper play), found "pit in reverse" glitch and used it in offline custom mode race at Nurb. Then someone tried it with online race and voila.
This "park at pit entrance" glitch is "evolution" of the previous one.

Yes, it affects everyone in the race, as everyone loses out on position. The person really in front loses a win and the person in the middle of results could end up with a negative DR score instead of a positive one, so these people are cheating everyone, its not a harmless exploit.

I think I had a glitch like this in one of my races, I was fighting a guy for the win and all of a sudden his position showed as 18th and I was suddenly like 15 seconds ahead of 2nd place (despite the actual guy in 2nd place still being within half a second of my on track).

Ha! I already started at least one thread complaining about the game I don't believe in doing it twice! I will just put it in another relevant thread sometime where it will languish unread.

Is this bug is related to autodrive failing to drive trough pit-lane? This looks bad.
