You start this thread wanting to know what can be done about people crashing you and then post something like this. If you cant take the heat stay out of the kitchen. He clearly stated he doesnt run into people just puts pressure on them. Obviously you cant take the pressure so the best thing is for you to get out of the way and let the real racers by. Crashing them because they put some pressure on you is childish. Perhaps you should return to the console.

I think some of you people need to read the sporting code for iRacing. He clearly states he is an asshole in his driving habits. It is people like that the service does not need. If you read carefully the sporting code states this.

I don't see your name on the GTPlanet iRacing directory "fatcracker"? or don't you participate in iRacing? Regardless, I was making my statement at "CommodorePuddles" not you. I have absolutely no problem defending my place against his type of racer if I need to. I try to race cleanly but lately the service is seeing too many of the aggressive type that usually never finish a race because they have crashed too many times.

How about you fatcracker? are you one of the "real racers" you talk about? you sound like you don't have anything pertinent to say but garbage.

Great rebuttal Jeffrey, where do you fit in the scheme of things?

I didnt know I was required to give my real name here. Never read that in the AUP. I am on iracing and Yes I am one of those guys who will put pressure on you. No where in the sporting code does it say you cant. It is part of racing and like I said if you cant take it get out of the way. Now it does say in the sporting code that you cant wreck people on purpose, which YOU said you would do, so maybe iracing doesnt need your kind in the service.

I'm not sure which part you are having troubles understanding, CommodorePuddles clearly states about his driving style, which is against the sporting code. Putting pressure on a driver is perfectly acceptable, telling a driver if you look in your mirror he's the asshole who is aggressive, by saying that it gives way for me to defend myself. I've had drivers bump me and pressure me all along the track. Again this is against the sporting code. You pass when it is safe to do so without any aggression.

No it is not required to give your "real" name but usually those that don't are afraid to show their stats. That's alright fatcracker, you are one of the "real drivers"

 You and your childish remarks. I dont feel its a good idea to give out personel info on an open fourm. Thats also why I dont post pics of stuff in my house on a public fourm. If your comfortable with it fine, but dont expect all to do so. I got nothing to hide in iracing after all its just a game. My personel idenity I do keep to myself. If you wernt so childish Id give you my name in PM so you could check my stats if youd like, but I think youd just post it on here so that wont happen. Im C class 2.66 as of today, irating of 2040 with an average of 8 incidents a race. Anything else you want to know just ask. Seems to me though you want people to race around the track in a nice train with 10 feet between them so you wont get all nervious. I think GT5 has that all set up for you in the seasonal events.

My comments are not meant to be of a childess nature, you feel uncomfortable giving out your real name that's alright by me, however not by iRacing, there your real name must be used. If you have ever been in a race with very few incidents and fast excitement you would realize it is no train. You drive to the best of your abilities without the worry someone is going to be aggressive and run you off the track.

Here are a few snippets from the sporting code, see if you can spot the relevant ones.

On-Track Conduct
iRacing places a high value on responsible driving and fair competition. Accidents in racing are inevitable; they are a natural consequence of close competition. But the FIRST graduated
licensing program stresses the development of driving skills and the avoidance of accidents, rewarding safe driving and minimizing the number of on-track accidents
.

In the physical world, the risk of injury and expensive car repairs serves as a natural deterrent to reckless driving. Because those risks don't exist in the virtual world, iRacing has
developed a system that automatically calculates a driver's safety record through each lap in every official on-track session. The system does not assess blame for an incident, so
responsibility for avoiding crashes still resides with each individual driver.

Your the only one on in this thread that said anything about crashing people. Putting pressure on someone is by no means crashing them. If they get all nervious and spin out thats not my fault nor against the sporting code.

fatkrakr, no need to make this an argument (I think i'm too late). Some people when they put pressure they use their cars to make a move which is against the Sporting Code. I Have been on both sides of the coin on this one.

Yes something needs to be done with all the reckless driving but that won't happen.

Hi Michael, you are not to late for discussion. As the code of conduct states, there will be incidental contact. For me it's easy to tell when some one is racing hard or trying to put me in the wall.

After reading the last few comments I seeing the big problem Nim and his staff are dealing with. How does a third party decipher between intent? or incident?

just from what you type I can tell you are an @@$%### if you want to be blunt.

from your picture I can tell you are an older guy, so you should know on the internet (sadly) 2 wrongs don't make a right as much as I wish it would in all games. You crashing people just makes them that much worse and do the same dumb cr#@ over again. I can understand your anger for that, but doing it just makes it worse and just makes you another part of the problem (not as big of course), but still the problem.

I wish Iracing had some great idea to get those @#$%%#@@ out of here, but they want to make money and for that fact alone does discourage a lot of "noobs" from Iracing because you have to always pay for it (which I don't mind). sadly some slip through the cracks and want to destroy IMO a great online racing game. So it's a double edge sword so to speak.............I think......

Jeffrey, you need to go back and revisit my comments. You might notice smiley faces inserted in my comments. I have no intentions of crashing anyone. So far your comments have only been of a trollish nature.

maybe to an extent I would agree, but re-read my last post. I added a lot more

First off you insult me for no reason. As I said, I never had any intention of crashing anyone, you and fatcracker should go back and re-read my comment. If you take it to serious, as both of you obviously have, the you are reading whatever you want.

I started this thread because of problems I see in the service. Up to the point where you edited your last post both you and fatcracker have only been posting trollish comments accusing me of something that you thought you read.

.....you said flat out you crash people.

so your whole thread seems "trollish"

I, like many other drivers don't pull over for guys like you. If someone is riding me tight in the corners or slight bumps and so forth I won't pull over. Sort of a two way street, even if you manage to get by me I might just throw a slight block sending you into the wall. :D

I am not the fastest out there by any means and when I see a much faster guy coming along biding his time, I will facilitate a clean pass because he has earned my respect. People like you should stick to XBOX racing. :)

...............

OLDSKOOLACURA, again go back and read what I wrote. I inserted a big smiley face which indicates I was joking.

Now I wish you and fatcracker leave this thread, you have nothing insightful to add.

Disagree with every word in this statement. Most drivers do not "just let a faster car by", and putting the pressure on is about the only way to get them to make a mistake or realize they need to just let you by. Put me in an MX5 and I'll stay 6" off your bumper for as many laps as I need to.

Thank you Eric. I may have not made my posting clear, but this is what I meant

Putting pressure on is one thing but driving aggressively is another. When a driver tells you to look in his mirror because he is an aggressive asshole I think that's crossing the line. You sound like another iRacer who has failed to read the code of conduct.

Where did I say I would just let a faster driver by, do you have a reading problem?

Going back and putting a few smiles in your post dont change what you said. The only reason I posted in this thread is because you asked what could be done about people wrecking people and then you make a post about wrecking someone. You show very poor sportmanship. As I said before thats chilish behavior and iracing doesnt need that kind of attitude. You are doing exactly what your complaining about. You need to reread your posts and rethink your attitude towards fellow racers. If you cant control your anger perhaps you shouldnt renew your membership. Your part of the problem in iracing not the guys who are racing hard to get the win.

When I said 'asshole' I was being completely sarcastic, I'm not an asshole, I don't wreck people, I follow the sporting code, unlike you that says you would
wreck me if I showed you any kind of pressure, I RACE. Maybe they should start a senior citizens league for you.

Aggressive and wreck less driving are two different things. Being aggressive and putting pressure on someone is fine (it happens in real racing..) wreck less driving isn't and that's what a lot of people need to realize.

I never went back and added anything fatcracker. My original post stands as written. The only one the shows poor sportmanship is you and your 12 year old childess remarks which have become trollish about 2 pages ago.

As i asked in a prior post, you have absouletley zero to offer this thread, so kindly step a side and leave the comments to the grow ups
