There are 5 new rivals races up under the "Community Monthly" section. I've only played 2 of them so far. One was for the Aventador and the other was a 4-door 500HP Euro drag race. I was able to get my '06 Audi RS4 down to a 10.94 but the leaderboards are already owned by VW Boras (they're somewhere around 10.5).

I didn't see the Euro drag race event. That should be fun. The Bora is a strange car to be at the top of the leaderboards. I figured it would be a light AWD drive car.

I slapped together a RWD Mercedes 190E that was running around 11.5 with a 1 minute tune setup. Then I switched it to AWD and did a victory spin at the end and still ran somewhere around 11.3. So I have quiet a bit of time to easily improve on. But I plan to sandbag that for a while to make money.Since this event allows AWD its going to be a challenge. Its already clear what the leaderboard car is and I will not use it.

In the last event I was using a Dodge dart that could run 10.7 and it was A. Class. The ONLY people that were beating me were the ones using the Cobra that was S class. My Dart was a full class lower and still beat everyone on my FL. I refused to use the Cobra because it was a leaderboard car.

Yup thats why I waited. The largest payout was only 50k last night so hopefully by tonight or the weekend it will be higher. Then I can sandbag some real good money. Not that I really need any money.

Good to see I'm not the only one who won't jump on the "top leaderboard car" bandwagon. I've actually found that it's more fun to share the drag car with my club and see who can shave off the most time using the exact same car.

Oh, and make sure you play the Aventador race. Every week they select 100 random GTs on the leaderboard and give away BMW GTR unicorns.

I can't get over just how big the Rivals addition is to this game and yet I feel like there's still a lot of untapped potential left in it.

I have NEVER used leaderboard cars in any game. If I do its pure accidental. I use cars I like to drive. Not the top car in the game just to be at the top of the leaderboard. Thats just not me and never has been. I also dont buy tuning setups. Nothing against that, I just get more pride in tuning cars myself. :)

I haven't tuned up a Bora to see how much it weighs after a Race Weight Reduction, but I had the exact opposite thought when I saw it on the leaderboard -- "oh, of course. A light AWD drive car."

Words cannot describe my love for the Mugello track as well as the Aventador, I will be sad when this month is over.

You were using a Dodge Dart which has been stated many times is a glitch car :odd:

Were you not aware of this or did it not matter for this event since it was a drag race not a class race?

Made nearly 3 million today doing the R3 Rival in my F458, nearly into the top 250 with my own tune (on my storefront :P)

Why is everyone calling it a "glitch" car, when its issue is clearly nothing more than a low PI? It didn't "glitch" to be as fast as it is. The game just underestimates its abilities.

uhmm no, you do an engine swap on the car to an engine with much more power and the car drops 100pi, that's clearly not supposed to happen, hence it's a glitch.

Mugello is very satisfying, but it took me a long time to get used to the Aventador (don't usually drive the Lambos). I hated it at first and my ham-fisted attempts ended in epic understeer. It took me about 8 laps before things started clicking and I calmed down enough to show some patience with my right foot. I'm really liking the car now, especially when I nail a 4 wheels drift on exit. It'll take a lot more work before I can hope to break 2 minutes though. I really nail some corners, but I have a hard time putting them all into one lap. I'm also easily distracted by those darn ghosts. I really wish I could shut them off. At least I can take some comfort in saying I'm not using any assists. Actually, I'm a lot faster when I don't display either of the dynamic racing lines. That forces me to really look for my braking cues.

driving the aventador is just an endless wait for the corner to get past, u can try to rotate it a little bit on the braked but mostly can do nothing but let it understeer. 3rd run yield a 59.5 and a 58 should be pretty easy, not interested in driving it anymore though.

Really? I've never even touched it because I avoid any "leaderboard cars." My bad, dude.

Exactly it is NOT a "glitch" car. Its a very light HP drag car. People just want to hate on it to hate. If people want to hate on a car hate on the Cobra. Thats the leaderboard car. I only have 1 Dodge dart and thats the one I was using for the monthly event. Using the original "stock" engine with upgrades. So even if that glitch they were talking about exists, it clearly was not on my car since i was using the original engine.

Now we can all hate on the VW bora since its the new leaderboard drag car this month.

We can hate on whatever car is topping the boards.

Now you have now said the dart had the standard engine rather than the 'glitch' swap I agree it isn't a leaderboard car, However since this glitch is rather well known did you not think it might be prudent to mention that your specific car was not running in glitch spec?

I didnt and still dont even know the glitch you are talking about. You said something about adding a different engine lowers the PI? Maybe that engine has a lot of weight to it. That would make sense to lower the PI. Like I said, I was using the stock engine that came with the car. So if there was some sort of cheat or glitch, I sure as heck was not using it. The Dodge Dart is a very light muscle car. So it makes perfect sense that its as fast as it is. It just doesnt make sense people hating on the Dart when the Cobra is by far the much faster vehicle. Hating on the Cobra would make sense, hating on the Dart saying it shouldnt be that faast makes no sense at all to me.

I'll direct you to a thread (in which you posted in, so I believe you are aware of this 'glitch') and a post which shows what I'm talking about:

"stock dodge dart upgrade engine to viper V10....PI drops!!! class D C and B has dodge darts with 800bhp!!"

So there it is..... online D C B this car pawns everything. It has no right to.

sure they will patch it though.

Now that is dealt with, I'm well aware that you were not using said car (now that you've told me) but I was not aware before, hence I stated it might have been prudent of you to say that your 'dart' was not exploiting the glitch.

That makes sense with it being a much heavier engine. But if the PI is indeed incorrect, I am guessing T10 will fix it. But that Viper engine is quite heavy and would make it much more difficult to turn. I didnt even know you could put the VIper engine in there.
