First, the Mustang Stage 3:

Leftlanenews.com
Roush this week launched its Stage 3 Mustang, packing 415 horsepower with 385 lb-ft of torque. “This is the best Mustang we have ever built,” said Jack Roush of the new vehicle. The Stage 3, 4.6L, 3-valve V8 powertrain system includes the intercooled Roushcharger system with custom Roush-calibrated ECM and several other performance modifications. This upgrade is a vast improvement over the factory stock engine which is rated at 300 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. But this car is more than just being quick on the throttle as the more than 1G rating on the skidpad attests. The suspension upgrades include specially-engineered and tuned front struts, rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear sway bars and jounce bumpers. The front brakes are also upgraded with 14-inch front two-piece rotors and four-piston calipers.

Exterior styling is enhanced through the addition of a seven-piece body kit constructed from OEM-type materials which sees a front fascia, front chin spoiler, hood scoop, rocker panels, rear fascia valance and rear wing installed by Roush factory technicians.

Other amenities include lower valence fog lamps, custom 18-inch forged rims with high-performance tires, sport leather seat covers, embroidered floor mats, billet aluminum pedals including a new dead pedal, and the Stage 3 electro-luminescent white face gauge cluster. The car also has Roush badging throughout and a serialized engine bay plaque indicating the car was hand-built in the Livonia, Mich., facility.

Optional components to further customize the car include racing stripes, interior dash trim kits, locking lug nuts, trunk tool kit, short throw shifter, billet aluminum shift knob, and more.

The whole kit costs $20,225 and is available for both coupe and convertible versions. As with all Roush cars, the industry-leading 3 year/36,000 mile warranty remains intact and covers all components. The cars can be bought complete at some for dealers, or the kit can be ordered online.

Then, the F150 Stage 3:

Leftlanenews.com
n addition to the aforementioned Stage 3 Mustang, Roush has announced its new Stage 3 version of the Ford F-150. Now in production and available at dealers nationwide, the Roush Stage 3 F-150 flies down the road thanks to the 445 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque generated by the addition of a Roushcharger system. This is a substantial increase in power and performance over the 300 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque that is generated from the stock Ford factory 5.4L, 3-valve engine, and the entire truck, including the Roushcharger is covered by a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. But the Roush Stage 3 F-150 is more than just engine. This package also includes the styling and body kit enhancements of the Stage 1 version, and the suspension upgrades that are incorporated into the Stage 2 version of the truck.

The tuned sport suspension system under the Stage 3 offers a balance between comfort and handling capability, without significant reduction in payload capacity. These engineered and tuned components include specially valved front and rear shock absorbers, increased rate rear leaf springs, front coil springs, and a large diameter solid front sway bar.

The Roush Stage 3 F-150 also comes with custom 20-inch rims and tires, both from the new line of Roush Performance wheels. Some of the exterior styling additions include a front chin spoiler, hood scoop with carbon fiber design insert, and the optional side skirts with dual side outlet exhaust tips, wheel flares and tailgate spoiler.

Other amenities include specially-designed instrument clusters, custom leather seats, billet aluminum grille and pedals, embroidered floor mats and much more. Of course, each Roush vehicle comes with an individual serial plate indicating that it was hand built by specially-trained Roush technicians at their Livonia, Mich., facility.

Other options available for the Roush Stage 3 F-150 include dash trim kits, locking lug nuts, and striping packages. Still available are the Stage 1 and Stage 2 versions of the Roush F-150 for drivers wanting elements of the package, but not the complete Roushcharged truck.

The bumper on the Mustang is way too chunky, makes it look like a Tonka toy.

Bumper on the Stang looks fine to me and fits the car well, but damn look at that F150, that thing is mental. I'd prefer to see the Ford badge removed from the grille but I guess that is purely cosmetic. lol

I have to say that I like to looks of the Saleen S281 Mustangs a bit better overall, but performance wise, I would presume they are nearly the same. But, thats just me, and I'm not a Ford guy, so what the hell do I know?

i agree...i like the saleen much better. the new 'stangs dont look as good as the older ones (96-04). the older ones just seemed alot more streamlined and just better looking overall when they were customized by saleen and roush.

I'm the other way round, I didn't think much of the 96-04 Mustang's, but I quite like the current one.

I quite like the look of this Mustang. 👍 One of the best I've seen.

Overall, I think this new Mustang is a chunck of **** (but lets not go into that here), but I don't find this one too bad to look at. Could just be the angle this shot is from though. :indiff:

I like the wheels too. :)

The Mustang is unquestionably one of the best American cars you can buy, so I wouldn't go as far to say "a chunck of ****..." Yeah, it is a dinosaur compared to the Audis, Peugots, whatever from Europe... But I don't see them selling a $27K RWD sports coupe that can outperform cars that cost thousands more, mind you, with a live rear axle...

Older Mustangs? Definatley not as good looking as the current model, but I liked em enough to nearly consider buying one used. Of course, a Camaro or Firebird is a better buy (faster, more fuel efficent) by days end...

That F150 looks awsome--but I'd still rather buy a Titan and trick it out for the same money. And as for the Mustang I'd rather spend the extra $$$ and get the GT500.

...speaking of the GT500, there is a rumor going around now that Ford will be building a GT500KR next year to take down the Z06 once and for all. After I got done laughing for 20 mins, I thought about it, and then I decided that a KR (king-of-the-road) model would be pretty nice. My brother's friend's Dad has a '68 GT500KR in blue, and although I've only seen it once, its a pretty nice car. Ohh, and did I mention it is pretty damn fast for a '68?

Hopefully Ford making the Shelby GT-H means they have a GT-350 coming, I'd rather a GT-350R than a GT-500KR any day.

As for the Roush, I never liked the Roush ducktail spoilers.
