Bentley Speed 8 is an absolute flying machine, absolutely trounces the opposition. Should have a higher PP rating

905 is good for these, CLK GT-R too, it has a low PP but I was still able to win with Racing Hards on. These are what I've been using mostly, going to try out some others soon, just need to try and spend some money as I'm maxed out at 20 mill :(

I'm still quite shocked that Tsukuba isn't one of the five tracks for this round of seasonals. Maybe PD FINALLY got our message that we're tired of Tsukuba! :dopey:👍

People could say the same about the Nurburgring. :indiff:

Also, I'm not at home, so apologies in advance, but did the online dealership roster change too? Wanted to pick up the Playstation Audi R10...

Nope. No change at the dealership.

I never understood why people hate Tsukuba. It's a good track.

I'm happy as hell to see Nurburgring, but it's not like anyone's forcing you to drive Tsukuba. It's a good track for learning not to overdrive the car.

I like these new events. I think they might be exposing my weakness's in skill. The last two seasonal events seem more challenging. Struggling with Fuji, need more time on it I guess.

Tried Monza @lunch with a stock V12BMW. RH's abs1. Definitely need to work on the high speed turns, managed 2nd on my only run though. A track I really need practice on.

Funny, I've been on a DTM and LMP kick lately. Glad to see this bunch of races. Hopefully not too easy w/ stock cars.

Maybe the next OCD will include some LMP's/ Group C's.

Before this seasonal I hardly used my LMP and Group C Race Cars... Now I'm going to have a lot of fun with them again! :)

Has anyone tried any of these in a RM ZR1 yet? Just curious to see if it even has a chance to come close. But finally get to use a TON of cars I haven't tried yet.

It's possible to win some of the races with the RM ZR1, if not all of them. I was able to win Monza and Fuji with it, though in both races I won by 0:00.100 or less. You really have to make up speed in the cornering, because the ZR1 can't accelerate nearly fast enough in the straights.

I love this seasonal. You can use your race cars and make very good money and xp. I used the Mazda 787b and the 908 FAP. My favorite track in this seasonal is Nurburgring 24h.

MM1000
5 except Nurb which is 1 lap.

So you can earn 100k per lap of Laguna Seca or Suzuka. There is no need to grind anymore. Just play and suddenly you have all the money you need.

Thanks for that answer. So basically all the events are almost matching the Ferrari seasonal now...too bad I already have 20 mil, but I can get it back in a fun way now :D

How in any possible way can you be fed up with the nordschleife? It´s the best track in the game. I hate it with prototypes, because they don´t take place in races there in real life, but the track itself is freakin awesome.

Back to topic: Thanks PD, for a seasonal with high-powered cars :)

As the majority have said, loving this round of seasonals.

Some pretty tight racing going on..

Should keep me busy for a while.

Why do they have backmarkers? I know it's to replicate Le Mans series with different classes, but as in GT there is no class winners, only overall winners, what is the point? There are well over 16 LMP/Group C racers when you take into account colour variations (As teams run more than one car).

All they do is get in the way.

Once you get past the backmarkers it's just picking the rest off one by one, even the likes of the Audi R8 brake too early and then stall on the apex, all of the competitors are mobile chicanes in my view, more so than in other events. And it gets worse, once you take the lead rubberbanding kicks in and you can't pull out much of a gap, so one mistake and you're finished.

I was overjoyed when I heard this seasonal has LMP cars. But when it got down to doing the events, it's just poor, I want a whole field of similar performance like in the DTM/SuperGT events. You can't honestly tell me the C2 Corvette race car '63 is >700pp? It's 10-15 seconds a lap slower :yuck:

EDIT: I'm running a stock Audi R8 Race Car '01. Sure it's one of the best LMPs, but I shouldn't be able to breeze past the competition like that. Just give us a difficulty setting PD.

Great seasonal event. I did Suzuka a couple of times last night with my Mazda 787 and the best finish was 2nd. To be fair, however, I made a couple of critical mistakes in each race. I need TC and SRF. I might win them with my Minolta, which I am sure can crush the competition, and then go back and try them with progressively weaker cars. I have been waiting for a seasonal like this for quite some time so that I can run my race cars.

Well done PD!!!

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the Audi R10 is a Premium car and will not be showing up in the OCD...Perhaps you were refering to the Audi R8 LMS Race Car (Team Playstation) '09...It's in there right now so you had better hurry!

👍

Sad but true.

Aren't the different tires more or less difficulty settings? It may not be that realistic to put street tires on an LMP, but it would make it more difficult.

For me and my DS3 it's hard to use just about any of these cars with racing hards and no traction control.

Shouldn't that make it more challenging that AI keeps you under pressure though? And I myself like to have lots of different opponents I can race against :) It adds more colour to the racing if there's all kinds of cars you can race against. :D

Anyone else being sent back to the main menu after the race ends? It sucks having to wait for everything to load every time.

That always happens with every seasonal. It's happened since the very first seasonals...god they seem a long time ago now. :)

Anyone close to beating the 'ring race in a street car?

I can get within about 16 sec with the Mine's R34 on racing softs. (8'19.xxx)

Did them in the 787B with 716pp - abs1. I like them!

Same as me, great car just added the mid band turbo but sticking with Hard tires to match the other cars.
UPDATE: Won the Monza race with standard set-up on RH tires by 0.1 secs. Had to block a little on last 2 straights. Watch out for the Pescarolo.

It's been like that since seasonals started. What really annoys me is when you finish 4th or worse, and the game punts you back out onto the main menu! It doesn't even let you save the replay! I really wanted to save my 4th place finish at Monza with my IS-F Racing Concept.

Here is my thing. I like the Ring for my personal time trials, not the chase-the-rabbit format of the seasonals. I can see how the barge-your-way-past, wheel-in-the-grass aspect of Nurburgring could be fun, but by my count, the Ring has shown up, what, 4 times now? First, NASCAR, then the Subaru event, then British Lightweights and now again for the Real Circuit Tour. But I don't think we've ever seen Fuji GT, Circuit de la Sarthe no chicane, Monza no chicane or SS Route 7. Nor have we seen a wet course as of yet. I'm in favor of more diversity, not less. All these tracks took hard work to make, let's not relegate a whole bunch to practice mode...

Disclaimer: I'm not a GT5 hater or an anti-Ring person.

So what are the highest PP cars in the 750 range?

I was looking at my cars arranged according to PP and saw my Toyota 7 at the top of the closed wheel cars with a PP of 739. What are the highest PP of the LMP and Group C cars?

My Toyota 88C-V I have the most miles on, maybe I can give it an oil change to bring back some PP and get higher than the Toyota 7.
