Finally finished! What a hard challenge, but its worth it. (Subaru) Send me a FR if you need the cars, I have them all to borrow!

Is crispychicken49 your PSN?

Got 2nd on Fiat using setup's - cheers guys, but I'm still 18 secs down on first. I'm doing 2.07 second laps. Is it do able for me?

dont forget to put a spoiler and front addon on the impreza.
havent managed to win yet tho,i will try with a stock suspension next time

Has anyone used any of these set-ups with a DS3 and won?
If so which did you find to be best??
Appreciate any advice!
Cheers, Bill

Using a DS3 and the setups above, I got 2nd on the Fiat race, and still a good 7-8 seconds behind first. I was pulling 2:05 laps. I know you need to get 2:03 laps to win, so do you think hooking up a wheel will give me an extra 2 seconds per lap?

I took second with a completely stock Fiat 500 using a DS3 controller, so maybe with one of these tuning set-ups I stand a chance!
As for the Scooby... No 🤬 way!

:banghead:

Edit: Still, I am enjoying the challenge! :)

Bro am exactly pulling the same time as you. I have done a few 2.06s but still coming 2nd with about 11 seconds behind the winning AI.

Team Lotus's Setup was ace for me for the Lotus 111R Race over took 1st place half way through the last lap :)

I must suck, I only got 6th with my G27..... but it has been a few months since I played with the outage and all.....

I was 43 seconds from 1st last night....but I only ran the race once....

I used the above setup for the Fiat & was able to Gold it with DS3 & using AT. Gold was achieved with 2.08 1st lap & 2.03 after that.

Had all aids off except ABS 1
Use controller sensitively 3 or less
Need to minimize tire squeal
Must take corner before long straight without lifting off gas
Don't overbrake at end of long straight (min speed in that corner was 62mph @ apex, 60 climbing up hill)
Keep your speed up as much as possible. I think there are only 4 turns where you need to use brakes (after 1st tunnel, at end of back straight, & at 2 sharp turns at end of lap).
You need to lift but not brake in first tunnel. Speed over split marker should be ~58.
I increased final gear up slightly for more acceleration but just under limiter. Will post final gear when I get on PS3.

Good luck!

EDIT: Final gear increased to 4.050

I used the Sixaxis controller. I used JG's Fiat, Rotary Junkie's Impreza (Max the tranny out to 246mph) and the Lotus Elise that was posted on the first page. (With Tranny maxed to 240mph)

Okay this really really really stinks..... Can someone post tunes for all 3 events. I know the 1st page has those links but i dont want to go over the restrictions WTF! I dont want to waste my credits for nothing! I need subaru and elise tunes PLEASE

So how did you win with the Fiat? Are you maxing the tranny out to 240, and what about the final gear, where is that. Also, I have seen suspensions that have the Fiat in the -15/-10 range and transmissions that are fully lowered, any advice people?

Honestly the FIAT is the easiest thing ever. You won't need any setup beyond buying a few parts...All Aero Parts and a choice of engine tuning that will bring you to 66HP. Also a customizable tranny. That's it. You don't need anything else. Make sure your tranny is bang on perfect and have a good clean race. You'll easily win.

Edit: For DS3 turn off all assists except ABS=1. Set controller sensitivity to whatever you like to race with, I personally like 7.

Eleborate on the tranny comment? What do you mean bang on? Settings?

I ran a full customize transmission on the FIAT at only 106 MPH top speed. The car can't even get past 100 with the setup I used and I won by a quarter of a second.

Yeah, that is where I got mine set at. The closet I can get is within 1 second and 3 seconds behind the leader. I was neck and neck and I thought I would pull it out but didn't. What about suspension, what are your settings?

the fiat race is a #@%$!@#%( ! %(!&@#%& !(@#&% (&!@%(& @!#%!$(& %!&($#@%! (&^%$& ^&$^( (!&$6 &(!#$ (^&!#$(&^!#$ and !%&#(!&#@ (!@#$( %!@&(#%

2:04 is to #@%)*!@)% slow?!! #@)%*@#)* YOU ^#@!)($&)!#@&$ PD &#)@*$!)*$!) AND YOU !@#_%*!@*)_%* FIAT

I'm so pissed, the rest of my day is ruined because i just spent the last 3 hours and i can't do it, despite making every %!%!@#% corner perfect.

I'm sure there are a very few people who like doing perfect races; but that's what time trials are for. I shouldn't have to get @#%@# %!@#%!@ at a stupid game just because I want to win a challenge. It's pointless, there is no !#@%$!@% damn reason I have to drive PERFECT for 10 straight minutes where if i even go 2:04 for 1 lap i will not win.

no i don't crash, no I don't hit any cars, yes i draft, yes I hit every corner either faster then the line or equal to it, no i don't use breaks and if i do I have my sensitivity set to 1:3 and i feather it.

seriously, this isn't fun. I"m not pissed off at this game and pissed off for the rest of the day. I thought games were suppose to be fun and challenging; well playing perfect and being behind 1 second despite spending 5 god damn hours is not FUN

Pick a setting. Hitting the limiter during the race? Raise top speed. Not hitting? Lower top speed. Find perfect spot = Profit.

Generally you're not going to go faster than 89-91 mph, so keep that in mind and see what works for you.

yeah they are called expert; not impossible. The fiat one is harder then the other 2 expert events which I have gold already. It's harder then any A-spec match i've done too.

You have to be PERFECT, no room to even take a corner a split second to slow.

if you get 2:04 on even 1 lap, you will not WIN; you have to restart.

@OP thanks for the list! Worked good on the Fiat doing 2:02:xxx laps.

just used the op's tune on the 111R & got to 1st in no time. I think what helped me out the most was the tranny gearing even though I didn't use an RM & the little bit of front toe out (-.03) helped loosen the car up so I could reduce steering wheel input. Made all the difference. Thanks ADRENALIN

Have only tried the Fiat race so far and enjoying the challenge... best is 1.7 secs behind the leader in second but that was with 2 'scruffy' laps as I'm not exactly the neatest of drivers. I'm sure I'll get there soon enough.

Definitely a lot of fun driving the wheels off a low powered car for this challenge :)
