1) The Public. I know many people who ar einto cars in a big way, but still associate SEATs with being cheap castoffs, i.e. Marbella.
I know that old SEAT image has shaken a few potential customers

2) Designers. These designs are fresh and original and don't seem to get a huge amount of credit from others, like, say, Audi or BMW do.

Well the rear does remind me of that Mitsubishi Tarmac CZ-3 Concept. Probably just the brake lights resemble it but i'm sure they didn't have that car in mind when they were designing it.

It's quite a weird looking car, but not repulsive...

Okay I'll give it a crack why they aren't getting huge respect.

They're doing the whole second hand chassis thing. It's all, lets use a Golf chassis, lets use a polo chassis etc Alot of the time you are basically getting a lighter VW, with less the badge snobbery.

The designs are all sporty. This sounds dumb, but not everyone wants a sporty look hatchback. And also what was with the F1 nose? They haven't got an F1 team, and no F1 history to my knowledge.

And finally, Spain isn't exactly known for it's great build quality. You think German, you think build quality. You think Japanese, you think reliability. You think Spanish...and it all kind of falters.

So there's my attempt to even the sides up.

I respect all car companies, or at least try to. So Seat doesn't need to convince me for anything to get my respect. Here's a little thing to appreciate Seat... didn't Seat win the World Rally Championship in 1994 with a driver like Didier Auriol? I don't know too much about Spanish autos. All I've heard of were Seat and Hispana-Suiza.

Something I've hated was some Suzuki that looks too much like a Seat from the front (don't know its name). I think I've seen an actual Seat before here in Houston, much like I've seen an actual Peugeot 206 in H-Town. Unless Seat isn't getting it done in the world market or European market, then maybe that would be why Seat isn't getting any love. If they don't care, then I do. Good one, Seat. Muy bien, Seat.

i wouldnt say they have a choice to use the golf base its the way vag has set everything up as brands, for example you have vw which is kinda in the middle the head so to speak, then audi which is like upper class,skoda=budget,seat=sporty,bugatti=supercar,bentley-high class lux etc

That's VAG's idea. I see SEAT as red riding hood to VAG's wolf.

I think it's quite nice. Wouldn't be ashamed of driving it down the road that's for sure.

Dude the Cupra GT is mad sexy--I think it looks better than alot of supercars. Hell I'd rather have this over the Veryon in a heartbeat.

Looks > Comfort > Speed > Exclusivity

Only car that break my rule is the Zonda...it's just 100% perfect...but probably uncomfortable for me but who cares.

did you even look at the link i posted?
http://www.seat.com/com/generator/su/com/newLeon/site/accessories/sport/Aerodynamic-kit/main.html

look at that link that is the FACTORY bodykit.EXACTLY the same as you posted and also look how small the brakes are and you didnt get it from a mag,you got it from the GCF site

Remember there will most likely be a Leon FR, which lies somewhere between the standard and the Cupra model. One of these prototypes might be the FR.

The new Leon is alright. The front is not exciting but the rear end rocks!

Overall, i still prefer the previous/current model to that though :D.
