Will PD finally start issuing consequences for dirty drivers? I hope so

I don't like the idea of this because how far will it extend?

If it's only adding an option to report players for cheating & then subsequent monitoring then that'd be fine (like people using that rolling start exploit).

But if it's because you crash someone? what if it's revenge for something they've done to you earlier? What if there's de-sync which there always is because so many streamers are going on servers they shouldn't be on.

Penalties & loss of DR/SR are already enough for dirty driving, if they take it to a point of restricting or banning people for it then that's absurd & will only backfire.

Well, apparently you don't understand it.... The point is... NOT to take revenge in the game/race, but to report players who behave totally wrong.

And what YOU criticize is not intentional misconduct by players, but a bug in the game... If the game lets the cars start and others have to stop... I don't know anyone who would NOT drive then. Also, this error really doesn't always exist.

The SR penalties are useless due to the currently non-existent penalty system... In order to fall in the SR you have to drive extremely aggressively.
And skilful drivers can currently completely screw up the race for many others without even getting a 0.5 second penalty... So it's good if there are "referees" for it.

And then mn here in the forum the community that one would like to protect may NOT warn against such drivers... I support the system if it really goes live and stays that way.

Reporting others for dirty driving in GTS never did anything; I assume because every incident would need somebody to look at and decide if it's worth a penalty or not. Assuming a few hundred or maybe thousand reports a day of such things is just impossible to pull off.
What always worked was reporting offensive chat messages, you get a notification from your PS then that it's getting reviewed and within a few hours get another one (usually) telling you the person has been warned. Obviously a written message is much easier to review, so my guess is their "behaviour monitoring" mainly focuses on lobby chat and the comment feature for liveries, photos, etc..

Why don't they just bring back penalties? I loved how strict it was when it launched, sure there would be some stupif ones but at least the punters always got punished, now there is zero consequences to hitting someone off the track

What did you do to get that screen come up? I’ve never seen it, but then I only accessed Sport once to have a quick look. What I mean is, did you trigger it by doing something bad, or is everyone seeing it at some point (in Sport, lobbies, whatever else)?

Is this not the same statement that was there when you originally enter Sport? I imagine the terms must have a small update which is why we need to accept it again, but I don't see anything else different there

I do believe that PDs emphasis is on the hateful, verbal abuse that happens after the race where one berates others for their "driving".
It's this verbal abuse that gave me a stem warning or I will be suspended for 30 days

Sony. PD has no role in content moderation.

Which is also why the "hateful, verbal abuse that happens after the race" is pretty much the only thing that will get you a warning.

But I had got the warning notification from PD directly stating my verbal response in GT will get me a suspension if it continued, in was told this was a warning.
This came via the PS system notifications.

These are two different things, and PD does not communicate directly.

It came via PS system notifications because it was from Sony's Content Moderation Team.
PD/ SONY does it make a difference? I still was warned....

(PD is directly under Sony, yes?)

Yes. I mean, that was literally what I originally pointed out to you:

... and it's super-weird you doubled-down on it by insisting it was PD, only to now wash your hands of it.

The fact it's Sony and not PD is why you'll never get a warning for driving like a dick, but you will for calling someone a dick for driving like a dick. Driving like a dick is not against Sony's Content Moderation rules. Calling someone a dick is.

No, OP didn't do anything bad. When you enter Sport mode it pops up as a notice. It has nothing to do with your conduct in races.

popped up for a lot of us yesterday, it's a new one (I'm a safe and courteous driver)

The wording is a bit weird and unclear, especially about the social media part. Looks like they do follow what's being said and reported as poop (assuming this forum, YouTube and twitter being the top 3 places) which begs the question...

If you're (PD) actively monitoring these places, why aren't you looking at the genuine complaints, suggested improvements, rather than name-shaming and outing of exploiters/ manipulations in the game's core logic?

If nobody gave a crap there would not be complaints, we post and share coz we genuinely love the game, know it's potential and want it to be better!

Also, ramifications because of sharing your opinion is a bit of a communist move, free speech and all...

I was pretty sure they're talking about official Sony social media channels - like going onto the official Gran Turismo Twitter to abuse Kaz for whatever's the thing upsetting people this week...

... although quite how "bulletin boards" (an exceptionally ancient name for forums) comes into it, I don't know, given that they shut all of theirs down.
