I don't like the idea of this because how far will it extend?
If it's only adding an option to report players for cheating & then subsequent monitoring then that'd be fine (like people using that rolling start exploit).
But if it's because you crash someone? what if it's revenge for something they've done to you earlier? What if there's de-sync which there always is because so many streamers are going on servers they shouldn't be on.
Penalties & loss of DR/SR are already enough for dirty driving, if they take it to a point of restricting or banning people for it then that's absurd & will only backfire.
You may not name and shame...And then mn here in the forum the community that one would like to protect may NOT warn against such drivers...
What did you do to get that screen come up? I’ve never seen it, but then I only accessed Sport once to have a quick look. What I mean is, did you trigger it by doing something bad, or is everyone seeing it at some point (in Sport, lobbies, whatever else)?View attachment 1160636
Will PD finally start issuing consequences for dirty drivers? I hope so
Sony. PD has no role in content moderation.I do believe that PDs emphasis is on the hateful, verbal abuse that happens after the race where one berates others for their "driving".
It's this verbal abuse that gave me a stem warning or I will be suspended for 30 days
But I had got the warning notification from PD directly stating my verbal response in GT will get me a suspension if it continued, in was told this was a warning.Sony. PD has no role in content moderation.
Which is also why the "hateful, verbal abuse that happens after the race" is pretty much the only thing that will get you a warning.
I had got the warning notification from PD directly
These are two different things, and PD does not communicate directly. This came via the PS system notifications.
PD/ SONY does it make a difference? I still was warned....These are two different things, and PD does not communicate directly.
It came via PS system notifications because it was from Sony's Content Moderation Team.
Yes. I mean, that was literally what I originally pointed out to you:PD/ SONY does it make a difference?
... and it's super-weird you doubled-down on it by insisting it was PD, only to now wash your hands of it.Sony. PD has no role in content moderation.

popped up for a lot of us yesterday, it's a new one (I'm a safe and courteous driver)What did you do to get that screen come up? I was pretty sure they're talking about official Sony social media channels - like going onto the official Gran Turismo Twitter to abuse Kaz for whatever's the thing upsetting people this week...The wording is a bit weird and unclear, especially about the social media part. Looks like they do follow what's being said and reported as poop (assuming this forum, YouTube and twitter being the top 3 places) which begs the question...
If you're (PD) actively monitoring these places, why aren't you looking at the genuine complaints, suggested improvements, rather than name-shaming and outing of exploiters/ manipulations in the game's core logic?
If nobody gave a crap there would not be complaints, we post and share coz we genuinely love the game, know it's potential and want it to be better!
Also, ramifications because of sharing your opinion is a bit of a communist move, free speech and all...
