Normally, I think the Mustang (those after 1975) have basically sucked the farts out of dead seagulls. The past decade's worth of Cobra's, however, have instilled hope in me. These are almost totally different cars: they go like a Mustang should, they look like a Mustang should, they sound like a Mustang should, and they turn like no Mustang can. Even last year's GT-Bullitt was a limp-wristed attempt.
The current SVT Cobra brings back memories -- and good ones -- of the Boss 302, GT350, even the Lawman. Sure, the interior is crap-tastic, but it's not much worse than my own WRX, and I love that car.
