As everybody with a brain knows, Johnson county Tennessee is the far-eastern Tennessee county. Your tags are LQR, putting an original registration date at the beginning of 2003, just so you know.

yes m5power, johnson county is far east tn, right near the VA line, which just so happens to be next to bristol, which is where i live, and no i moved my car reg. in 2002 not 2003, anyone with a brain can look at the tags and see that they are about to expire!!

Looks okay, I don't like the front bumper that much...as a show car, it's good.

You really ought to register it in Virginia; car tax is lower and you don't have to pay the extra Johnson County tax every renewal.

no bec. in va there is a personal property tax that is somewhere near $185 per year for me, so i think i'll keep it tagged in va plus in tn there is no inspection!

See that blue sticker in the lower right of your license plate? You don't know it because it's absorbed with the renewal fee but it costs well more than $185 - is it wheel tax? Or education tax? Each county is allowed to have extra tax in the renewal and most take advantage of it.

Virginia's state inspection isn't so tough; your car would pass.

the wheel tax is only $35, so yeah i am gettin off alot cheaper, and after this winter it won't pass inspection, shaved handles, shaved tailights, and shaved quarter windows, and i'm putting the apr race mirrors on the sides, also illegal, shortened mirrors in VA means big ticket

I'm spotting a theme here... Limited visibility in side-mirrors, near-zero visibility in rear mirror... I'm guessing you don't want to know what's behind you at all?

Nice car mate ;) each to there own .... if you want to own a purple hearse hotrod then thats your choice :D

I think that car looks pretty neat 👍 .........looks like it glows in the dark :P

Is your car entirely for show?

Wheel tax combined with car tax is more expensive (by far) in Tennesse, but seeing as you're driving with a vehicle that you've spent a lot to modify so that it looks good (at which you've failed) I guess you've got the right idea not to submit to inspection.

Is this the definition of rice or what?

nah what is behind me is just that, behind me, if that is where they are then that is where they belong, it's not built for that yet, and i freely admit that, so it's no big deal. oh and i have no problems seeing out of any part of my car! and since i'm new here i going to say this one time and one time only.........rice is an attitude, it has nothing to do with the car, yes my car is built for show and show only right now(as a matter of fact i took 1st place thurs night in a show) but i don't go around thinking that my car is the fastest thing on the road, so no it is not rice, and i've worked long and hard on that car which is more than i can say for most of you who drive anything at all, how much of your own work do you do???? And THERE IS NO CAR TAX IN TN ONLY A WHEEL TAX!!!!!!!!! get that through your head please!

Heh. So when you renew, why don't they just mail you a sticker? You pay tax on your car, just like in every state except Oregon where you pay a $5 flat fee yearly which is odd because they're so liberal.

how much of your own work do you do????

All of it. Yep.

Well, I do some of it. Im getting the Stage 1 kit for my car, so the people at Mopar are installing that.

This includes lorries on the Freeway as you try to join - and can't see them thundering down towards you because they're out of you mirror's range - anybody who is roughly alongside you as you try to pass something, emergency vehicles behind you trying to stop someone burning/bleeding to death (no doubt you have your stereo so loud you wouldn't be able to hear the sirens if they were wired to a cochlear implant) - and so on.

You're right - "rice", as it's defined, is an attitude. The attitude that you are the most important person on the road - and the only one who should be using it (everyone else can get out of YOUR way) is just that.

Personally I like a good car, regardless of it's origin. My next car will be Japanese, by the way. My last (only) 3 have all been European Fords.

hey famine did you see that rs200 s on ebay for 125k...

anyways i dislike this type of eclipse design in general, but what he has done isnt horrid... It has no freaking adjustable and pointless spoiler :).

Again what model is it... not year... but model/trim... you know what i mean yet???

My dad had an Eagle Talon TSI (I think TSI, anyway its pretty much like the Eclipse but with a nicer interior). He didnt really make any visual mods other than some nice looking wheels. He put almost all the money he spent on it into the performance (and I tell you, it did perform). He only kept it 3 or 4 months when he sold it to an 18 year old girl. A week after selling it she already had all 4 wheels scuffed and some scratches. She does streetrace it however (I dont know how my dad found that out). He said everyone bets on her and she almost always wins. She had only been beaten by a Saleen and someone else (again, I dont know how my dad found out this info).

LOL... tsi is a car i like alot... same with the gsx... but in factory form the gsx seems to have a lot of problems. My gf owns a 94 gs and i like the was this generation looks... not the 95 post ones tho...

What year was the Tsi

mine is a GS, which is the 2.0 liter non-turbo, but it was the 99, which happened to be a 10th anniversary car, so it had all the goodies of the turbo without the turbo. and the problem with the gsx or the tsi(AWD) is crank walk, it was a crappy design where the transfer case and the tranny, anyway after a good 6 months of hard driving then you are replacing crap down there, it's just a pain in the arss!!!! oh and for the record i have no problems seeing out of any part of my car, and there is no massive stereo system.

Man!, you people need to stop that rice crap, I'm tired of it! The man put alot of work into his car so you don't need to go ripping on him like that. Like you could do any better with that car(probably couldn't, or at least not by yourself) If your going to post something about someones car being rice go find a 2 Fast 2 Furious forum.

I actually dont know. I was away for most of the time he had it (I was at camp). I think it was pretty new (well, as new as Eagles get).

See, here we go with the jokes about the man's car. I'm sure he didn't create this thread to be ripped on.
I was just playing off what you said.

I assume you've got a Civic HX with a bodykit, wing, and expensive wheels.
