Yep he got to drive it for a very short time, less than a year until he had to comply in the States. If memory servers me correct you are allowed to drive for a specified amount of time before you either have to ship it permantely off shore or comply it. Due to the fact that the car is what it is there is no real way around having to front up to MotoRex if want to keep it.

If you can dig up positive info, please post the link to the DOT regs on it, that would be fantastic! I would in fact save a few blokes a fair bit of mucking about and extra expense in getting one there from England where they are stationed in the Military. Right now they are in the same boat as a State side person.

damn...oh well it was worth a try....I think that Rb-motoring is alowed to legalize them too...whos cheaper motorex or Rb-motoring?

I know it'll be expensive but, I don't wanna just give up, if anybody can tell which American car that is a Nissan or better yet which model and what engine/transmission (Manual) I would need to do the swap, if you have heard any bad things about the swaps online, please show me the forum or whatever happen! Last resort is pretty much moving to England with me uncle or Japan

If you do the GS-R buy a turbo......as for the GTR....I haven't really looked into the swap thing because I want the whole thing but I'm sure that any nissan that can hold a I6 will do....

I wish I could seriously talk about buying a Skyline, doing an engine swap, or importing any car, :( but untill I win a lottery :D all I can do is just sit here and read about you guys buying/preforming these things.

Yes I could, and I would.. But money is what's holding me back, I don't have enough of it.. But when I do I'll be one happy Canadian

Yeah that's another major problem I forgot to mention... Hmm maybe they'll change they're mind when they realize what they're missing out on :D

Basiclly one in the same. Not sure if RBmotoring is doing legalizing or getting MotoRex to do them. Haven't talk to Sean Morris in ages. I drop him an email.

So in the US Americans can't drive any type of Nissan Skyline model? I'm finding some nice low price Skyline's but, I'm thinking we can't drive any kind of Skyline model; I know somebody knows the emissions reasons so could somebody tell me?

No, Nissan never imported them to the States, so companies such as RBMotoring and Motorex import them for you, and set the car up to be legal (emissions wise). But it costs quite a bit of dough to get to that point.

Ok by you saying me getting an Integra Turbo, are you telling me to get an Type R model or the GS-R Model and which yr or yrs. would be good, I've been looking, but wanted someone else's opinion on the matter!!!
-Jumaane

well If its old it has a higher probability of being abused....try to buy one as new as possible....NOT from a teenager....Old people are the best because they usually take care of their stuff.....get either model whichever gives you what you want and get a good aftermarket turbo kit...

if i understand correctly, an aftermarket turbo kit is any turbo kit you put on a car that isn't officially from the manufacturer... so if its a nissan, a non nissan turbo kit will be aftermarket, don't go around specifically looking for an 'aftermarket' one...

am i right?
