Yes they are, 0-60 on Evo 8 .002 quicker but 0-100 similar hehe my celica has bbs on bsl runs 10.506 in auto did manual it runs straight to .503, i know it can go quicker to .500 with a time launch but nah just want to keep you guys on the edge lol if its beaten i got a few more time launch and brand new flip with more pull to try out,

Yup MT is quicker by .002 on my tune I tried timed launch and it doesn't work with this car but nonetheless it may be possible with a new flip which I may try may cause by the looks of may break into the .49x mark if we keep it up, now the EVO on the other hand I installed those infamous BBS wheels and tranny got resetted I retuned it and the gears didn't match(I took a pic of the tune before) with the old one so I did a new shorter flip and match my old time with wheels, but I had an extra EVO so I tuned that one with a similar flip and Walla, I'll keep plating with it.

Retro is not cheating just because someone can pull it off that you cant, you start calling it cheating, its a method of maximizing oneself car to its full potential, leader board is for top times not including srf and echeating, retro is neither.

I thought it was to much pull but turns out it was just my transmission lol, my apologizes madmax. As for the retro launching, it was allowed awhile back but it's no longer allowed now, why start allowing it now? I was told by countless pros that it was a form of cheating. If retro launching is allowed then e-cheating may as well be too. All I want is for the leaderboard to remain the way it is without any form of cheating. You may not consider retro launching cheating but I do, if I wanted to I could learn how to do it too but I don't want to.

Explain how its cheating, if you have both gears to right? I dont see Danny said no retro, and if it does we wont really know how fast is the cars full potential really is. Echeat and retro two different things.

For the same reason E-Cheating is cheating I suppose, I don't see how bogging insanely low can help in real life, how would that not cause some type of engine problem? Retro launching isn't really proving any more potential because all it's doing is creating bog for less wheel spin I would imagine that that would cause huge engine problems in real life not entirely sure, but I have seen a few people bog out and have engine issues. Point being this is all based on opinion, 50% of the people will say retro launching isn't cheating and should be allowed while the other 50% of the people will say that it is cheating and shouldn't be allowed, nobody will win this argument so I'm just going to stop here. Sorry Danny for even replying to it, I know that it will cause arguments. All that I'm asking is to not allow it. A lot of people like the board the way it is, why ruin that?

I've seen a few times that just seem retro launched based on the 0-60 and you admitted to one of them last month. Karo used to retro all the time too that is part of the reason it's not allowed. I'm in no means trying to be an arsehole (lol) but I just don't want retro launching to be allowed, and a few people are starting to do it and post the times and that gets the talk started and then the next thing you know every time on the leaderboard is a retro launched time.

This is a possible reminder why it shouldn't be allowed, if you can't do it on Indy then you shouldn't be doing it on SSRX, I believe swara said that somewhere in that thread. An SSRX tune can still be used at Indy and vice versa, but a retro launch tune can't be used at Indy thus making it pointless. As stated before about this causing engine problems in real life, isn't GT5 a simulator (yes) and isn't it meant to be realistic (again yes) I know some of the things in this game aren't even near realistic, for example a raised front end and slammed rear end Route X top speed tune, in real life the car would flip over not cause an LMP to go in excess of 300mph, that I know is completely fake. But that's not the point here, the point is once again, this is all based on opinion, read the thread in that link I posted, swara hates it, hyperspeedbright hates it, and countless other people hate it. Others will like it, so tell me again how that's not based on opinion? As for the BBS rims thing, everyone knows about how certain rims make you faster they just didn't try it on the M5 until I posted my time and there was a huge issue over it, let's not drag up the past though because that is over and done with. I'm trying not to argue here but it's really hard not to.

Sorry for the double post, I just want to make one more statement, this leaderboard is no longer a top 5 leaderboard, some of the cars have like 6 or 7 spots on them. I don't understand half of the stuff on it because it's kind of clustered, there are also a lot of cars missing like the Mobil 1 NSX and the R34 TC for example. No disrespect to Danny or anyone else on this leaderboard but I just think it needs to be run a bit better, either that or we need a new one. Again, no disrespect to you Danny or anyone else associated with it but this is my opinion. BBS for the win kingking
