fortunate is one thing, spoiled is another. i am very fortunate. my college is payed for. and if i get through school alright i will make enough money to support myself and buy toys. my family has enough money to possibly support me for a while if things dont go as planned at college.
I still have a lot of work ahead of me though, but when its done, I will have money for toys. like i said before, some people respect those who are given everything in their life less. i respect those who work for what they own. relying on mommy and daddy is not the way i want to live past 18.
wrong, if 100k were peanuts to me, it definately wouldnt be to the billions starving on this planet. 100k spent on one more toy to your already large collection has much less worth than supporting 3 families for a year. thats an american family, go elswhere and the money goes much further.
whether im dirt poor or filthy rich, 100k is 100k. I think i said before i have come into a bit of money recently, I havent spent a dime on toys. im every bit as cheap as i was when i was making nothing. cheap or smart with cash, you decide.
i and most people are not as superficial as you. if i am to judge someone (we all do it, come on), I dont look at the money they have or what they own. I look at what they have achieved.
coming to this country at the age of 17 my father went through college and got a job paying good enough to support a family of 5. later he saw the need for a service in the electric utility business. he got a loan from the bank, and started a company. back in 1992 i think it started with 5 workers. hes made smart decisions and now the company has near 100 workers. He has a very large salary compared to before (less than million/year though). GE is looking to buy the company. He has considered it, and might go through with it in the next couple years. If he does, well the monetary amount speaks a lot for what he has accomplished over the years.
(the above is of course bragging. i am proud as i think i should be. it is bragging of accomplishment though, not wealth. a punk kid that owns cars worth 1 million is still a punk kid. he has accomplished nothing but a waste of somebodyelses funds.)

Concerning the off-topic conversation: I'm in complete agreement with Josh regarding bragging, it doesn't get you any respect. And you might have misunderstood the meaning of "succes" too.
