All those car company founders are forced out or left their company at some point, I wonder why...

Henry Ford: forced out of Ford, formed Cadillac according to wikipedia.
William Durant: forced out of GM, formed Chevrolet.
Ransom E. Olds: left Oldsmobile, formed REO
David Dunbar Buick: left Buick.

Says Cadillac was formed upon Henry Ford's departure along with several partners.

I miss read what you said, I thought you meant ford was forced out Henry Ford Company so he (Henry) formed Cadillac himself.

I don't know what to say about that R8. In the earlier pics, it looks like it could one of the best looking sports cars of its' decade. In the second pick, it is just plain ugly! Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde! :ill:

The Henry Ford Company created it after the investors kicked out Henry Ford and others.

Henry Ford had very little to do with the creation of Cadillac. The Cadillac company was founded by Henry Martyn Leland after being called uppon by William Murphy and Lemuel W. Bowen as consultants for a proposed financial backing of Ford. At the time (1901-1902) Ford was interested in building racecars, and after Leland had showed Murphy and Bowen his rejected engine design by Oldsmobile, the Cadillac car company was born. The first hand-built model was built in October 1902, and after going to the New York Auto Show, took almost 3000 orders for new customers.
