Just took a look at the tuning sheet and there are a few things you need to fix.
- AYC setting doesn't have a front and rear setting.
- Stability control is called ASM (active stability management) not SMS.
- I don't understand why there is two downforce sections. The front, rear, and extension aero parts should not count as downforce as they are just cosmetic parts and don't actually add downforce. The only thing that does are spoilers (rear downforce) and Race modification (front and rear downforce).
A suggestion:
-List the LSD settings like in the game.
Example:
LSD
Front:
Initial:______
Acceleration:______
Deceleration:______
The current way you have it in your sheet is very confusing (to me).
Personally I don't find this to be useful for me. If it was something on the computer that allowed me to save and views tuning settings then I would find it interesting
*after taking a quick look*
It has potential, but it could be a lot simpler. Look at our way doing it.. Simple, efficient and clear enough for even newbies to decipher. It's also following the order of the in-game tuning screen ( Aero, gearing, LSD/VCD/AYC, suspension, brakes..) which helps applying the setup in a logical order. Don't take this wrong, your sheet is impressive, but it is also heavy and looks like it borrows heavily from a roleplaying character stat sheet. Lighten it up.
Hi, just a suggestion: if you'd like more people to hear about your tuning sheets, stick a link in your signature. The idea occurred to me because you mentioned it in another thread, but there was no link to it. 💡
Version 2:
Many Improvements
Clearer Order
Better Organization
Parts' Price in Cr.
Many new features: Space for Tuners' Name, Parts' Name as In-Game, AYC Controller setting, and TorSen Center Diff setting... even more! But up to you to discover!
Any more feedback/opinions?
It seems like a lot of space for just one car setup info. But to be honest, you do need it. So I really think its perfect. It will just take word to get out there. If I get the chance I will try and talk about your sheets here.
Take care
Thank you so much! I really wanted a car setup sheet too! Way cool and nicely done.
Take care
I took a look at your tuning sheet and I have to say it way nice. But I don't think I'd use it. Why you might ask? Because I already have a system set up that I'm happy with, this will help those who are just getting into tuning, but for the tuners that are already posting, they probably already have a system set up. We humans are creatures of habit, and I'm afraid to tell you that this works against in in some ways.
Hate to tell you, but it's been over 24 hours now, not the 12 you said... A lot of us are in fact waiting.
That big fat "Side 1" is really annoying. But otherwise, 👍
I'm currently using your sheet, but there's one thing that's really pissing me off: That I can't type whatever I want. Example: Engine Tuning. I can't type Engine 3 or Engine Tuning Stage 3. I have to type exactly Stage 3. Please, make a new one where you can type what you want.
Please?
EDIT: Ok, I figured out how it works. Ignore the above complaint. But the ability to call it what you want would still be good.
Just wish... that is allright, because I can't go back in time and get it done... :\Theses are a great idea, and look really good. But I have made so many amends to the 400+ cars That i have it will take ma a long time to retrospectively go back and fill them out.
Not wanting to take anything away from the great job you've done. Just wish you had made these a few months back.
Would anybody like me to improve my Tuning Sheet? If so, how could I improve it?
I took your idea and turned it into an Excel layout based on a spreadsheet we use at my company for commissioning controls equipment. Haven't automated it yet, but if you're interested I could PM you a copy.
The good thing is that there is a lot of informations on each tuning sheet.
The bad thing is that to use it you must check one by one and you can't mix or filter the infos.
That's why Mr Bill invent the EXCEL.
Wow, that's impressive. Really, really solid work. Once I get my DFGT and start going serious on this game, I'd definitely love to make some sort of binder to keep track of my tunes for different tracks etc.
Solid work, really.
