So i was in my tuned 370z just cruising and decided i wanted to side swipe a wall at 86 mph, i caculated in my head if i hit it at this angle, my car should whip around the opposite way, Well i hit it and sure enough my car did a 180 and rolled backwards, To say the least i was very impressed.

had it been prologue i would have just slamed into the wall and my car would have straightened out, but not here.

What do you guys, and gals think of the new Collision physics

That's one thing I noticed yesterday, when I ran wide onto the painted lines I hit the outside wall with the back first and it actually threw the front into the wall and spun the car around. If that was was prologue it wouldn't have done that, I'm sure.

So I like them. 👍

Yeah it's great, sometimes you just clip the fixed (hard) tyre wall in corner 1 and it spins you around.

it has changed drastically. taking the first corner to tight i clipped the wall and spun. i just sat there for a second after. i felt like i was in a real car.

hey!!!!!!!!!!

can anyone try and roll their car??!!!!! Yamauchi did say that cars will be able to roll in gt5 in an interview!!!!!!!

Colission physics seems to be better now, but there are still situations when you hit the wall directly while making 140 mph and you just sit there suddenly and car is not bouncing off the wall. It looks strange.

From what I've seen, they're great, I just hope they don't do something stupid and make the AI in GT5 have that magical extra grip that shouldn't exist. In other words, I hope the AI reacts the same as your own car to collisions.

Snap, was trying bumper cam and cut that a little too tight, needless to say I was pleasantly surprised 👍

How did you manage to calculate that in your head?
Well if your going to run the right front panel of your call into a wall at 100 mph, you can already see in your head which way the car is going to spin, hit at the right, the car's rears is going to kick around the opposite way, just like in real life.

I've seen in videos of players spinning the AI out even by just hitting their rear bumper. 👍

You can get airborne using those break marker boxes, not sure about roll over though. If it was gunna happen it would of by now though.

It's like they finally washed off all the oil on the walls that was in previous gran turismos =) Collision physics are worked on yayy!!!
