I learned it's for earth's day. But would you like it to stay?

I for one love the dark background. Just wish the letters of the comments were brighter.

It's good for when I'm watching films and other long programmes so I love it.

I found it made the videos somewhat better especially the darker one and was kind of cool, it's useful to shift. So yes I'd like it to stay.

Me and everyone else I talked to about it agree that it should become a permanent feature. The dark background really is much easier on the eyes.

Mine doesnt work it just directs me to an environmental channel.

It's when you actually watch the videos. By the title is a light-switch, I'm sure you can work it out from there..

I like it. It should be made permanent. It gives you a sense that you're watching in the theater. Much easier to concentrate on the video.

I usually widen, or go full screen so the contrast doesn't bother me, but with poor video quality clips that makes them look even worse. So I really like this option.

I never clicked it because there was always the possibility of it taking me to some dodgy site or giving me some form of virus... But now it's gone and I know what it is I wish I could click it and see what it looked like.

In a sentence, it is like the GT5 menus only darker. Quite slick in my opinion.

Since this thread is YouTube related, here is a new service they are launching.

I always love their April Fools jokes.

Placed my order, I should have the 2.7 million they require by 2045.

Although DVD's will probably be obsolete by than.:grumpy:

It's funny because changing it to black theoretically would use more power since black is every color turned on at once.

I think they just need a dim screen button. Other video sites like put locker has one and it really makes a big difference. It keeps the video same size but lowers the brightness on everything around it. Gives the same sort or effect as this darker layout only even better. It's like of you were watching a movie at your house. Would you paint all the walls black to give it a darker room effect or would you just dim the lights to make the screen appear brighter.

I already have a ''lights-off'' add-on on my Firefox and it automatically darken the screen except for the video when it's being played. However, I'd still love to have this as a standard feature by Youtube and therefore, I like it and I want it to stay.
