A) I would like them to actually name them what they are in real life.
B) They would probably look pretty close to the real thing.
C) The cars would be awesome if the had 1500 horsepower, like in real life F1 Cars.

The yshould also put in better sound for the cars, because in GT4, the sound is very bad. The cars sound not like the real cars.

1500 horsepower? Aren't the F1 cars in real life like 900 horsepower?

And to stay on-topic, I don't really care if they change or not.

A) I dunno.
B) I dunno.
C) Between 900-950, and again, I dunno.

As long as they have a name, they do look like an F1 and has a normal amount of HP like a real F1 car, I'm happy.

;)

Some of the turbo cars from the past had over 1000bhp, some of them close to 1500bhp. They'd be fun to have in the game

I want to see Sony make good use of their F1 license.(They can put the REAL cars in)

yeah i would like to see the rwal cars in too so i could be shumacher or however you spell it cuz i like how he races he's old school a clean racer

thats exactly what i think, they hold the F1 license, why not put all F1 tracks and cars in it...same with the rally side of things....and soon maybe the touring cars, WTCC.

btw. i beleive this years ferrari has 920bhp and the minardi i beleive has 860bhp

Didn't know the power differential was that big. No wonder people complain about Ferraris being too good.

I'd like to see the same selection of F1 cars as WRC cars. That is, most (if not all) of the current seasons cars and a good selection of historically significant cars as well. A couple from the '60s, a handfull from the turbocharged era, and a few more of random intrest (the 6 wheeled Tyrell, for example).

It seems to me that PDs descision to include only one F1 car in GT4 indicates that they don't really want to focus on those cars. There's only one car and one race. No licence tests, no driving missions and no dealer.

This years BAR Honda has 990 bhp, but I'm sure that they'll be past the 1000bhp barrier when GT5's released.

If I could choose any car in the world, these would be my top three:

The March 881/CG891-Judd

The Lotus 72D-Ford

And last but not least the Tyrell P34

If they add all the F1 tracks, what about implying all the F1 rules? Fuel, tires, contact, and maybe actually letting drive in and out of the pits? Could be a little much though...

Yes and start with only 6 cars ( 3 teams), like last sunday :ouch: due to tires and rules

actually no...

the cars are being downgraded once again.. from v10 - v8 next yr.. rules are making them slower to give the not so rich teams a chance.

and yes BAR has the most powerful engine in F1.. second is toyota and ferrari.

but its not just the car its also the driver :)

^ yeah that 6 car race was a disgrace for F1... stayed up til 4AM to watch that.. was horrible.

the most powerful ever f1 engine has 1532BHP or something like that.
BMW supplied it to Brabham in '85 or '86

Yes i love the Leyton House Judd F1 car. You could have it in gran turismo 3 A- Spec
The F090/S has it as a theme. Personally the F090/S was my favourite. But especially
in the Epson colours and the Leyton House theme.

They have an F1 licence? :dopey:  :)
Oh my god, i did'nt know that!
Why mess about then if you have the licence put the cars in there!

I would like it if they put McLaren MP4/ 19,i like that car so much :)

Real and accurate F1 cars in GT5??? Ok but only when the engine sounds are like the real thing. Not like the stupid "vacuum cleaner" sounds we have in GT3, 4.
Should be nice to get really old F1 cars!! From the 60's and 70's.

Dang, I totally forgot about that. :indiff: Soon the new GP2 series will be equal to F1. 👎 It's a huge downfall, especially with the before mentioned USGP.

Sony should stop making F1 games, if evolution studios aren't owned by sony they should buy them or at least the licence and merge the franchises under the GT name with all the GT stuff! That means one bloody amazing game

If they have the license they shoulda put some nice real/authentic F1 cars in the game, hopefully they sell their Rally/Ice licenses for a refund and get some new stuff that matters :D

I'm with Chris Criswell I felt that the Ice rallies were inappropriate if they hve alot of F1 cars though because they are supirior in turning they would blow everybody else away so mabey they should have limitations to certain races or mabey even a whole Hall for F1s with lots them from over time and have 60's 70's 80's 90's and current cups I can see it now

i see no reason why GT cant start incorporating real series into their games. obviously there is the liscensing issues but the press and advertising youd get from being in GT would be tremendous. i just think it could really help push some lesser know series like gp2 or something like ALS.

I cant see why they didnt put they toyota f1 car in gt4. All toyota's sponsors arealready included somewhere in gt4:

Panasonic: on bridges at Suzuka
Karcher: on the astra DTM car
Denso: on the denso sard supra
Esso: on the gt-one
BBS: in gt auto
Michelin: errr...I think. but who wants michelins when you can have bridgestones?

I suppose doing an accurate F1 sim could be a bit of a problem as all the teams use different aero parts at each track (have a look at the technical bit of F1.com). Accurately recreating the graphics and different downforce effects would probably just be to complicated. Thats probably why they just did a generic car.

But it would be good if they could get the sound right. It sounds good when your pulling out of the pits but when you take control it goes all naff. Maybe it ment to be what it sounds like through a helmet? Anyone driven an F1 car? Let us know. The naffist bit is when you watch a replay of a rolling start F1 race. It sounds more like buzzing insects than 900BHP race cars.

Classic F1 cars would be good from all eras as well as other open wheel formulas (I've driven a formula ford car a few times and there great).
